About
Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the links-style Golf Club at Fossil Creek was nominated by Golf Digest as one of the best new public golf courses in Texas when it opened in 1987, and has lived up to that advance billing since then. The course is scenic, with massive trees, limestone bluffs, bubbling creeks, and numerous lakes that bring water into play on 15 of 18 holes. The course boasts pretty rolling fairways and 18 testing holes all intertwined throughout streams created by Fossil Creek. It's surrounded by rocky-ledged creeks and crystal lakes.

Poor conditions
The greens had been punched. Lots of mud. Cart path only. Range was closed. Took 5 hours plus. I tried to cancel the night before because of all the rain, knowing it would be a mess. They would not allow it.

I’ve played this course a lot and I never get tired of it. Everything is great. This course will every year be my go to for my birthday round.

Great course. Terrible pace
This place could be really really good if it was monitored by Marshalls. Incredible slow play with beginner groups that don’t let others play through. Seems to be a common occurrence. If they could staff a Marshall or two to help pace of play this would be a perfect spot.

Amazing course
It is a pretty course in really good conditions, the only negative thing that I can think of is that there's no screen with GPS on the cart

Great course
Great course, fair price
I’m not a huge fan of houses being so close to the fairway but that’s DFW golfing

Yikes!
The greens were in pretty bad shape. Dead grass and bare dirt in places. I’ve never seen it like this. The fairways were great. But you land on the green and it’s just a let down. My buddy and I were like “maybe the next green will be better”. But nope. I won’t play here again until I know the greens are back in shape…….

My favorite public course in Ft. Worth area
I have always been a fan of Arnold Palmer and now a fan of this fun layout. Lots of options for club selection and some interesting green complexes. The lake house is nicely situated for refreshments…. On course too. Overall, a fine afternoon of golf I would highly recommend. See ya out there!

Pace Slowed on Back 9
Enjoyed playing the course but we played the front in less than 2 hours and things came to a crawl on the back. Sometimes we were three deep waiting. It seems they snuck in some groups on the back which really slowed down play. If this was not the reason than the course layout needs to be revisited.
