The Club at Frisco Farms
About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Great Course
This is absolutely one of my favorite courses in the McKinney/Frisco area
Weirdly designed course
As a first time player, I had hard time figuring out the holes as there's no signs to guide next holes. Seems like the owner doesn't want to spend a penny for the course. I also wonder why the layout of the course designed so weirdly..Most holes you have to cross the car running road on gas cart for next hole! Probably residents there may suffer gas motor noise if they are home or nervously face crossing carts if he/she drives. Is the weird layout for more homes to face golf course by putting more holes among houses?
Although greens and fairways were okay, I would neither go back nor recommend this course to my friends.
Good value
Good value for after 2:30 pm rate, but course slow today compared to other times out here, Marshall very friendly and let us know it was backed up entire way not much any could do about it, half our group left after 9 holes
Will be back sometimes that’s the way it goes
Challenging but rewarding
It’s a tougher course but also not overly hard. It’s a gold course to break out some of the other clubs. Not everything is a driver off the tee
Slow play
Greens were ok, just a few dead spots on some greens. The pace of play is very slow, and the restrooms were real bad
Arcis Should Be Ashamed
8 months after a winter storm caused damage, Plantation still has bare cement floors in their clubhouse, sheet rock cut from walls with bare studs exposed, and temporary plastic bathroom sinks. The on course bathrooms were disgusting and looked like it had been 8 months since they were cleaned. The carts were filthy and had dirt and cobwebs and looked like they had not seen a power washer in months as well. And yet Arcis still has the audacity to only book tee times when you pay in advance. Evidently Blake Walker's strategy is to just keep buying clubs and not fix anything.
Slow Round No Marshal
Rounds played slow and there were no marshals anywhere to help. It was a Monday and a holiday so there is some justification to the slow play but it is worth mentioning you’re not likely to get through a round in under 4 hours here.
That being said I played with my 14 year old son and we had a blast so all is good.
Great Course
Always enjoy this course. Only issue sometimes is oace of play.
