The Club at Frisco Farms
About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Love this course
All the tee boxes and greens where in great shape along with the fairways…. I love this course.
Don’t play during the week in the morning.SLOOOOWWWWW
This course plays SLOOOOOOOOOW, and I MEAN SLOOOOOWWWW…any day of the week. Retirees feel like they own the course and take their sweet time. I’ve played this course for years and it didn’t used to be this way. Things used to loosen up after the hard par five (#4) but no more. I’m retired too, but I don’t expect to play a 5 hour round on a weekday. That’s what awaits you here, and the retired folks club is unapologetic about it. The course is decent, but not a good value for a 5-hour Wednesday round…and they make you pay up front as well. I won’t be playing here anytime soon. There are too many other options. Let’s leave this one to the retired folks in the area who don’t mind a 5+ hour round. NOTE: We (3 some) skipped 4 holes to try to get ahead of the slowdown and still only managed to finish in 4hrs 20 minutes. Very disappointed. Not sure anything can be done, other than course management employing marshals to enforce faster play. A four hour round should be a given on a weekday morning. When this get fixed, I’ll think about coming back
Parking - greens
Parking is atrocious. Small lot, you may have to park on the neighborhood street. Plenty in room next to the range where parking could be expanded. Drove around 10 mins waiting for a spot to become available.
Greens were hairy and inconsistent. Overwatered, it was wet all around them, often chipping from a soggy lie.
pace of play
just a rwosome stuck behind a foursome with another 2some behind us and made it like we were pusing the guys in front of us thinking they had too look like spiderman to read putts and they couldnt hit 20 yards off the tips unreal
Poor value for price
Played on a Saturday - packed even for Dallas standards - very slow and course was in poor condition.
Not worth a 70 green fee given number of courses locally
Course Play
Fairways were brown and very tight with little grass and hard pan - very difficult to get under the ball - some greens had sand but most were smooth and fast. The club house in under renovation - staff was friendly.
We just made it in before sunset - there should’ve been a twilight rate.
Fantastic condition
The course was in great condition. definitely play again!! Thank you.
Great Course
This is absolutely one of my favorite courses in the McKinney/Frisco area
Weirdly designed course
As a first time player, I had hard time figuring out the holes as there's no signs to guide next holes. Seems like the owner doesn't want to spend a penny for the course. I also wonder why the layout of the course designed so weirdly..Most holes you have to cross the car running road on gas cart for next hole! Probably residents there may suffer gas motor noise if they are home or nervously face crossing carts if he/she drives. Is the weird layout for more homes to face golf course by putting more holes among houses?
Although greens and fairways were okay, I would neither go back nor recommend this course to my friends.
