The Club at Frisco Farms
About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Good availability, decent price
Greens were in excellent condition. Fairways ran out nicely for dormant season. Tee boxes need attention including just cleaning up all the broken tees. Tee box grass was sparse. Overall an enjoyable experience. We’ll play again
You can skip this one
Issues with booking through golf now. Course made a big deal about it and ended up missing my tee time cause they couldn’t get golf now to get it on the tee sheet.
I finally got out after 25 minutes of talking with the clubhouse and golf now. Course was not in good condition and the track was daily boring. Felt like playing in someone’s backyard for 18 holes. Greens have potentially but we’re very slow the day I played. Probably won’t be back given there are better courses in every direction.
Typical public course
Lots of layup shots on short par 4s, Island greens that were tough to navigate, and many trees made this public course a relatively hard course for a mid-to high handicapper. It was what I expected as far as course beauty(not any) and also in pace of play(Tee times were jammed in). Not a terrible weekend course, may be back.
Worst course in DFW
Top to bottom it couldn't be any worse experience. Waaayyy over priced, similar conditions to a paved road, all but 3 greens were unputtable. Save yourself some money and frustration and go somewhere else. Added note: they are working on the building from the freeze in 2021(its 2022 now). The men's room that is under construction has a hole in the wall that you can see into the women's restroom. Just a joke of a facility from top to bottom.
Great day to play!
2 of us tee’d off at 1:31, , course was not busy, warm, slight breeze out of the west. Played through 8 holes no waiting, tee box well used as usual, fairways groomed, greens had been seeded 2 weeks ago, very green, firm, receptive and they rolled true.. Slow playing foursome on 11, so we skipped that hole to be played later and connected with a father daughter twosome, daughter playing only, middle school kid with a 3 handicap, it was fun to watch her play. finished the round by 4:45. Overall great day on the course!
Love this course
All the tee boxes and greens where in great shape along with the fairways…. I love this course.
Don’t play during the week in the morning.SLOOOOWWWWW
This course plays SLOOOOOOOOOW, and I MEAN SLOOOOOWWWW…any day of the week. Retirees feel like they own the course and take their sweet time. I’ve played this course for years and it didn’t used to be this way. Things used to loosen up after the hard par five (#4) but no more. I’m retired too, but I don’t expect to play a 5 hour round on a weekday. That’s what awaits you here, and the retired folks club is unapologetic about it. The course is decent, but not a good value for a 5-hour Wednesday round…and they make you pay up front as well. I won’t be playing here anytime soon. There are too many other options. Let’s leave this one to the retired folks in the area who don’t mind a 5+ hour round. NOTE: We (3 some) skipped 4 holes to try to get ahead of the slowdown and still only managed to finish in 4hrs 20 minutes. Very disappointed. Not sure anything can be done, other than course management employing marshals to enforce faster play. A four hour round should be a given on a weekday morning. When this get fixed, I’ll think about coming back
