About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Great course. Terrible employees.
Played a nice round with the boys. Played slowly but had a good time. The staff was terrible. Trying to rush us off course. Kept coming and asking what time our tee time was and name. We drove slightly back through course to utilize one of the restrooms. Very quickly. They chased us through back to our spot and then continued to suspect we were replaying holes.
Staff members were more than accommodating even though we were late for our tee time we got right on and had a lot of fun. Greens were pretty quick.
Great Time
We enjoyed our round today. The fairways were in great condition. The greens just need a little bit of sun and warmer weather and they will be great.
Horrible conditions. No carts. Rude staff
This place sucks at any price. Doesn’t matter that it is really cheap. Move on to the next course. Poor conditions and the staff treats you like a second class citizen if you book through GolfNow. No carts or GPS even though it says included FYI. Pace of play was horrendous. Could only get through 9 holes before calling it for how slow it was.
Challenging course
It is a challenging course but still fun to play it

The green condition was good even though wet weather and winter. I like the fast green so I may play again this course.
This course has been great maintenances.
Excellent courses conditions after rainfall.
Greens is reasonable fast.
Few tee ground was not flat and otherwise was good.

Great Golf
I play here once a week and it’s one of my favorite courses in DFW. Staff members are very friendly, and the course is consistent.
Really slow play
This Club used to be good when Club Corp ran it back in 2004' and they had bent grass greens. Cart Girl runs Friday-Sunday only. Many holes have no yardage markers so you need your own Rangefinder. This club was designed to be a 'Retirement Community' so it's like an executive course. Plenty short to pad your handicap. Lots of Asian players have migrated here from Ridgeview Ranch, so bring a book to read, especially on the weekend.
Disappointed
This course is extremely over-crowded. If people are parking on the street, turn around and go home. It will be a 6hr round. Lots of Asian players hang out here so bring a book to read during your round.
Nice course
Plantation is a tough little course. You have to play from the fairway. Downside is the areas off the fairway are hardpan dirt in lot of spots. Greens are great. Wish it played a bit longer. Forced to hit 8 iron off the tee on a few par 4s. Could leave Driver in my trunk and would probably score better. Wish the grass was thicker on the range.
