About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Great course but pace of play ruins the experience
Course is in good condition. While it's a short course (a few par 4s under 300 yards), many holes have lakes/ponds/creeks that can make the course challenging at times. Unfortunately the pace of play is horrendous. I have played 3 times (all 5 pm tee times) and we were waiting at least a few minutes for every shot we took. I'm not sure if it's bad golfers or the course is over booking tee times but I probably won't be going back for a while because of this.
Tight course with shot making challenges
The course was in good shape.Fairways had decent
grass on them and the greens were true.This course a few long holes and then some holes that are short
but challenging.
Great course for a business outing
I had heard good things about this course in the price range it's in and they were all true. Not overly challenging but still lots of fun. This would be the perfect course for a business meeting. Hard to get in any real trouble and everyone I played with shot better than normal scores. Greens are in great shape. All around very pleasant experience.
Fair course
Course is intertwined in a neighborhood with houses on both sides usually. Most of the holes are straightaway. Played at 4:30 and they were definitely overbooked. Took almost 3hrs for just nine holes! Greens are in good shape.
This course has improved dramatically over the past year
I took a chance on this course after having last played it about 18 months ago. This course has been vastly improved. From the sand in the bunkers to the rough being maintained. The greens are in great shape. I suspect that tee boxes will be addressed next as some of them need to be a little better rotated. The food and beverage folks are very personable. Overall, great value!
Poor conditions
Very poor conditions...used to be a pretty nice course years ago! Yesterday the bunkers were horrible and why have gps if the pins don't match....made for a poor time!!
Surprised
I have played here a lot. Course is in really good shape tee to green. Greens look real good, but are slow. This is the surprise because the greens here are usually quick. best fairways I've played so far this spring.
Much better now
Glad to see the club is getting better... I remember playing a long time ago (10+ years) and it was great. Played a couple of years ago and it was terrible. They must have new management or something because things are a ton better. Carts are new and in great shape. Staff is super friendly and the course was in pretty good shape....

Solid course for the price it was offered and great cart staff
Very Slow!!!
We played with two groups in front of us one of 4 and the other of 5 players. This course has a need of a competent marshal controlling the speed in which the groups play. The group immediately ahead of never allowed us to pass and made us lose in total over an hour waiting in every hole.
Fun course for the money
I would recommend trying it out if you wanted to play somewhere up north. Inexpensive and the GPS was a nice bonus. Give it a try.
Great course great price
I love plantation it's right by my house it's a challenging course because it is very tight due to houses surrounding it. The prices are great the staff is very friendly an helpful.
Not happy with a 5+ hour pace with no marshals!
Played really slow and the pace of play was not monitored by any Marshals!
Nice course for the $$
This is a nice course for the money. The only problem I had with it and I read it quite a few times in the reviews prior to playing is the fact that we got stuck behind a 5 player group. We caught them on the 13th hole and waited on every shot from that point. When we got to the 18th tee box they asked us if we wanted to play thru.....lol, we declined at that point!
We drive about 50 miles to play this course and it is worthy
We really like the lay-out of this course and condition they keep,it is a fun course to play.
A bit short course with some challenging holes
The course was in a good condition and we had a good day with some challenging and fair golf. There were a couple of holes with a good challenge and reward layout which meant that you had to keep your mind in the game. The cart was a equipped with an excellent GPS. The only things that made the average instead of good was the length of the course, the blue tee boxes were moved a lot forward and made the short course even shorter. The one thing that made the course experience average was that a group of five persons were let out on the course and they did not let anyone through, even if the game was slowed down to a great extent. A short course like this should be possible to do in 3,5 hours, not 4 hours and 25 minutes.
Excellent Course and Greens
I played this course before and it is in excellent condition. The pace of play was very good too.

slow play
There is no marshall on the course and they allow a 4 or 5some to dictate pace of play. Very frustrating! Last time I played a fivesome ahead fished for water balls every water hole. Ended up with 2 holes open ahead of the cotton-top old guys. Eagle golf needs to get marshalls on the course.
Decent Course
Pretty average overall experience. The course was in pretty good condition and the prining was ok. My biggest complaint was the fact they let a group of 5 play right in front of us.
Needless to say it was a slow round.
