The Club at Frisco Farms

Enjoyed a 2 and 1/2 hour round, maybe the heat kept the afternoon crowd small. Amenities are nice greens are small so made targeting essential, will replay here again soon!

Hello this course was in great shape the only negative ( just a minor) is a par 3 tee box wasn't level and beat up otherwise this was a great experience and I will be back. The assistant in the Pro shop was nice, the lady at the bar and the starter were all nice and genuine. 4 Stars

I played at plantation for my first time, and as an experienced golfer I can say this is a GREAT course! The pace of play was a little slow, but it was a busy day and the staff did a marvelous job shortening the wait time. The greens are well maintained along with the rest of the course. I didn't play to well that day but a friendly young man was very kind to me as I proceeded to return my cart. Their staff is great, the course is spectacular, and for the low price, Plantation golf club is definitely worth visiting.

I booked an early Monday afternoon "hot deal" for about $19; very light crowd, so the pace was outstanding. Plantation is kept in good condition by the city of Plano; I highly recommend the course.

I made a tee time at 4:30 pm Sunday, June 5th. I pulled up at hole 1 right on time, but they had no marshal and when I pulled up to hole 1, there were 3 groups waiting to tee off. It never got better!!!! I wasn't allowed to start on 9 either as an option, according to staff. I went into the clubhouse after 9 for a rain check and they refused to give me one. This was at 7:15. Nearly 3 HOURS for 9 holes. I was not able to get a rhythm and every shot i took, i had to wait. Every hole, i had to wait for 2 groups to tee off. At the current pace, there was no way I could have finished all 18 before 8:30, when it gets dark. This is not the first time I've seen this course play below average on pace of play. The staff didn't care what I had to say about the course, they weren't giving me a rain check. They didn't have a single person out on the course. There was no water in any of the jugs.(Its Texas!!) They used to have grass to warm up on, but now you can only warm up on the mats. Make sure you have 6 hours before you play this course. I would not recommend it.

The course is in excellent condition; the greens and fairways are lush. The practice area is with the new mats are a big improvement. Enjoy playing there.

Bunkers were packed down heavy sand and need work

The course was in very good condition considering all the rains we have had in the area. The greens were in excellent condition. The course is short but had a few holes where approach to the green was guarded by water. Overall a fun course to play.

This course is build in/around a housing plan and draws a lot of kids to play. They overbooked the late tee times and did not marshall a father who brought out (2) 10 year old beginners. I lasted 1 hole that took 40 minutes and had to get a rain check. Wasted effort!!

The pace of play was a bit slow due to a lot of people playing at the time. but other than that i really like this course.

First, except for the bunkers, this course is always in good condition. You'll like it. The rough here is smoother than some courses' fairways. We arrived and checked in twenty minutes before our tee time. Went straight to #1 tee. When we got there, there was a four some waiting for two other four somes, whose tee times were in front of our's. They told us they were playing as a group and offered for us to hit first. The starter agreed and sent us ahead. Smart Marshall. So many times, in similar situations, some staters would have made us wait for our tee time. So, instead of a 5 hour round, we were able to make a 3 hour round. And, on a Saturday too. I repeat: Smart Marshall/starter.

We teed off 45 minutes after original tee time (said due to frost). It took over 3 hours to play 9 holes so we just left. There was 1 person working in the golf shop and 1 in the restaurant. If you like wide open fairways, this is your place. It is not a scenic golf course. I have nothing good to say about this golf course. I have played it 3 times in the past 20 years and swear I will never come back. I play over 100 rounds a year and this course ranks near the bottom in DFW.

Course was in good shape for winter conditions, Very interesting layout with many holes forcing various club choices of the tee. Had a great round Only downside course seems to be overpriced without the golf now deals

The weather was horrible but the course held up nicely

This course is great for all skill levels. For the beginner or the weekend golfer this course is open & friendly. Play it safe, hit it straight & you'll locate your balls & have a fun round of bogie golf. For the longer hitters, playing the back tees provides many risk vs. reward decisions to be made so choose carefully. Reachable par 4's can easily destroy you scorecard & have you drawing snowmen like a school kid. Weekend pace tends to run slow. I recommend weekday afternoon play personally.

We play this course 6 or 8 times a year. The rough here is better than some courses fairways. Even after heavy rains a day previous to our round, the course had dried very well, with few exceptions. Greens were much slower than usual,but very receptive to approach shots. We didn't get much roll on our drives. This course isn't very long and isn't very tight, but because of the set up of several holes, it is easy to make a four or a seven, depending on the accuracy of your approach. The fairways are level, so you don't get cheated by a perfect drive that then rolls into the rough due to the slope of the fairway. There is rough, but it is usually not so thick that a decent recovery shot, for a duffer like me, can't be accomplished. For me, the hardest hole is the par three number five. No sand, just a steep hide and a drainage ditch right and thick woods on the left. And, even if the flag is completely still, always count on there being some wind above the trees. Although the fairways are generous, they come very close the back yards on most holes. You will enjoy this course!

I've played at Plantation a handful of times. My only criticism would be that for the first 4 holes, pace is unbelievably slow (on a weekend). I'm not sure what it is, but every time i play here pace is slow until you pass the 4th hole. Other than that, it's very well maintained moderately challenging. Good value.

*side note - I got my very first hole-in-one on the Par-3 17th!
