The Club at Frisco Farms
About
The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

It was a very windy day!!
Not a bad course to play, very tight fairways. Greens rolled pretty good. Very busy on the weekend, but pace was ok.
Got two rounds in!!!
Cold in the morning 33 degrees at 10am. took a little less than 4 hours to complete. decided to play another round because now its 50 degrees and the sun was shining... what a great day. oh $10 per person for replay. NICE
Plantation Golf Course
The weather was good for the time of the year. The course was as to be expected for December. Staff was friendly and had a great time golfing the course.
fun in midweek
Always enjoy playing Plantation. Great course for the buck and quality facilities.
way too slow....
The course was very slow. When someone has 10 shots, why dont they pick up and move on.
Also at turn, the desk sent groups out to go in front of players making the turn. Who does that..it was because they have some kind of ball with huge net and they sent like 20 kids out on hole one to play that.
Good Course
I played in terrible weather conditions, but still had a good time. Course is not difficult, with plenty of wide open fairways and limited bunkers.
Fairways & Rough were in good condition, forgiving to novices.
I got a week day special so the cost was definitely worth it. I would probably pay full price if the weather was nice.
Great Golf Course
We had a great time, with the exception of slow players in front of us. I've not been playing long and with this course being somewhat short, it helped my game tremendously. Two holes beat me, I almost broke 100 and will return to for the challenge.
Decent round for the money
Plantation was attractive to me due to the Golf Now pricing. I needed to go to the PGA store and this course is right up the road. I took a chance and ended up going back the next day as well. Decent course for the money. The staff is friendly and the price is right. Pace of play was a little slow both weekdays, I can see how weekends would be out of the question for me. I rated the course conditions average for a couple reasons... Tee shot ended up in fairway divots multiple times both days and they were not filled. Bunkers were not raked. GOLFERS, RAKE THE BUNKERS PLEASE!!!!
Great course for a good price
The course is in good shape. It took a while at the starting hole to tee off. After that the pace is pretty good.
Good Greens
Course was in good shape. The greens were smooth and fairly fast for a public course. Only issue was that the GPS was telling us to keep up when we were waitng (a short time) on many shots.
Overall a very nice round of golf.
Larry review
GPS system was the best ever. Accurate to pin location (I verified with my laser)
Shot makers
Not a long course but your have to lay up often, quite a bit of water comes into play. Overall a fun course worth the money. Shock top on tap in the clubhouse which makes any round better
Not worth $40
The best thing I can say is it was fun but not worth $40 that my friend paid. I paid $20 on golf now. For a course with a lot of water on it there sure seemed to be a lot of bare spots. The tee boxes needed some attention. They seemed understaffed due to the way the course looked. But it we had a good time. This is a once a year course. For the money there are much better place to play within 15 minutes.
I walked off the course after 5 holes
Plantation is randown to say the least. If there was a negative star, this golf course would have earned multiple. This summer, golf courses have been in great shape. In Plantations case, not so much. The greens are a nice tint of brown with the feel of AstroTurf. I would advise any above average golfer to stay clear. Also, Plantation is running a $15 special after 5 on weekdays. Hopefully, the huge crowds will pay the employees because there is nothing going back into the course.
No frills, no spills.
There's nothing magical about this course, but there's also nothing bad about it either. Greens are in good shape, tee boxes are in okay shape, and fairways/rough are clean. Only a couple of holes where you have to really make a shot, but it's a fun, good course for relaxation and building your confidence for the more difficult courses in the area.
Great Value
Great value for $25. The course is in as good of condition as other more expensive courses in the area. Greens were in great shape, but rolled a little slow (like all the other courses in the area). Either I am just unlucky or the trees in the rough were strategically placed well enough to make me pitch out when I missed the fairway taking birdie out of play.
Nice course
Alot of water with ducks and turtles but a really nice value.
Great course and great price
My only complaint was, during a hot Texas day, not a single one of the water coolers had cold drinking water.
Tee Shots
This course offers a different look from the tee. Not every hole is used with a driver. All clubs will be used off the tee.
My new favorite course
This course was great and I will be playing here more often. The carts are equipped with GPS and there are always great deals on Golf Now. The pace of play was less than 4 hours which could have been because of the heat. Although the course winds throughout a community the fairways are wide and there was little difficulty finding balls.
