The Club at Frisco Farms (formerly known as Plantation Golf Club) was created for the average golfer -- it's a user-friendly course where spectacular play is not required for a decent score. Playing only 6,400 yards from the tips and under 6,000 from the middle tees, the golf course isn't long, and it includes many par 4s that are nearly driveable. Erratic, careless play is punished, however, with out-of-bounds lining the fairways and water coming into play on a few holes. Those short par 4s in particular are all guarded by water. Two of The Club at Frisco Farms par-3 holes -- the 148-yard no. 7 and the 188-yard no. 17 -- each require players to carry water. Pace of play here is better than average because of the player-friendly layout.

Great course - Club personnel issues

Problem with golf cart GPS system. Hole 14, I was approached by club personal asking for a reciept, accused of playing the course for free. This was not the case, I had purchased the round thru Golfnow, had checked in at the club house (was not given a receipt) and with the started at hole one (signed cart agreement). Apparently the golf cart system detected a problem with my cart movement and that led to being accused of not paying for the round.

I like it!

Check-in time was less than 2 minutes. Golf marshal did a great job.

Challenging course with lots of well placed water.

Friendly reception from the club house staff and the beverage cart gal. Interestingly enough, the beverage cart gal thanks us for playing there on the last rendezvous with her. Nice touch and it was sincere. Course itself is in good shape all around. Lakes are very low, but hard not to be with our lack of rain.

Problems with this one!

I had played this course about a year prior to this trip but couldn't remember much about it which was unusual. After arriving I remembered why I couldn't remember anything. The course is forgettable. It was in very bad condition and everybody except the cart man was rude. We made it through the first few holes only having to wait on one group ahead of us. When we came to the first par 5 ther were 4 groups waiting at the tee box! We called for a marshal and were told one wasn't available...really! We waited our turn and made it through the next 2 holes with the same wait and called it a day. I reported the problem to the Golf Now staff via email and they responded in a very profession and personal way. I was refunded my money for the holes I didn't play. I could not and would not recommend this course to anyone.

I hope you like water...

Good, solid, respectable course in the neighborhood. Always fun to play with enough water and live oaks to keep you alert.

This is an incredible bang for your buck!

I love this course! The staff is always friendly, the greens are always very nice. 10th & 18th hole is always a challenge! The only complaint I have is the course does not drain well so after a good rainstorm it can stay soggy for a couple of days.
