It Would be wise to tell us That at twilight it is full of mosquitos !

Horrible moment

Course was busy but we had minimal wait times for a group that plays at a fast pace. The lady at the front desk was very friendly. The greens were in great shape as well. Will play again

always enjoy playing this course. it was a beautiful day.

Played this course twice in two days and loved the challenge of it. Need to pick proper lines off the tee boxes and greens are rolling true and quick. Really enjoyed the course and everyone we met was friendly.

Great course. Ocean side course. Beautiful grass. Very polite staff. Great lawn staff. If I could afford it, Iwould play this course every day.

This place use to be in amazing shape for a public course…..but the past couple freezes have beat it up…..lost lots of palms, fairways are a mess, bunkers not maintained….wish I could say otherwise……

Weather conditions couldn’t have been much worse with high wind, sea fog and extremely soggy course but was an extremely enjoyable round up to #14 where the hard rain sent us for cover.

Can’t wait to play it in more favorable conditions.

Moody Gardens is a course with plenty of water and other hazards that is set up to play with the prevailing SSE winds. We played the course with 20-25 NNW winds, making it an extremely challenging but fun day. Greens are excellent, fast and true and the wind made keeping the ball low a necessity. Longer holes played into the wind instead of downwind and we were able to hit shorter clubs into holes that are normally hard to reach into the wind. Nice course to walk as well, as the layout is mainly flat and plenty of birds to add to the view.

Would have been a great course without those nasty mosquitoes.

There are like 30 mosquitoes around and on. I managed to kill at least 50 of them, but still got several bumps on my hands, face and neck.

Mosquito spray helped a bit.

Definitely won’t go again.

Love playing at Moody but the mosquitos almost made it unbearable. Cart path only day with all rain on Friday so walked which made it worse. Course was in great shape considering and thankfully the mosquitos eased up later in the day. Always have bug spray.

Many different tees present many different challenges. On the whole, there is no altitude change at see level, so it can be challenging to see where the fairway goes.

Good greens, and really unique grass.

The course is wide open with only water hazards to worry about. Everything was smooth until #17. Sadly, the marshal had just been around. 2 foursomes (lead foursome waited for the second foursome) decided to all tee off together on the par 3. And they took forever. Now 8 people putting and chipping. What a mess. Our foursome skipped the hole as we weren't going to wait 20 minutes. We paid the same as the eightsome but they must be more special than us. The pin placements were a little interesting as many were on the top of a ridge which made it like putt putt golf on some holes. The last thing were the mosquitos. Bring bug spray. They will eat you alive. I would say that nature cannot be controlled by the golf course but, it can. The ponds could be sprayed.
