I wonder where the greens fee goes?
I have never played on a course quite like this one. It was not good in every sense of the word. Imagine a course with potential, then stop cultivating and caring for it for years on end, all the while keeping the 'business' open.
It would astonish me if anyone were there for a second time. For the price, or close to it, I have played countless courses that were, in fact, golf-ready. This course has not been golf-ready for quite some time.
If you just have to see it to believe it, then you deserve to pay. You can save yourself the cost and drive out to the country, hit balls in a pasture, and have nearly the same experience.
Same business as usual….
It’s a great spot for me to bring my five year old out so that he can hit a handful of shots and we can enjoy the day together. The course layout is actually pretty cool, although the course itself is horribly maintained. It’s been over a year in the clubhouse still isn’t back. This most recent round I paid for it and did not get to play so I lost the money. As I always do a duck Creek, I brought my five year-old with me and they would not offer a cart for the two of us to ride together.
Decent
It’s a decent course overall. I was skeptical at first because of the “bad” reviews I saw but I took my chances and it was worth it. Little tricky to navigate if it’s your first time but you go thru neighborhoods and such. Super fun course overall.
6 hour rounds
2nd or 3rd time in a row I’ve been here and you tee off 20 minutes late because theres no carts ready and 4 groups lined up on the first tee. Front nine takes 3 hours from the backup. You’re waiting more than you’re playing.
Greens were atrocious and you’re putting over bumps and weeds
Bad all around
Over booked and the course was in terrible shape.
Club house burned down awhile back and the my operate out of a shed. They need to charge less and not overbook.
Nice course and staff
This is a challenging course. The day was busy and there was a shortage of carts. Some patrons who finished earlier rounds did not immediately turn their carts in. A good course I’ll definitely play again.
Worse course DFW
It was almost as if someone mowed their pasture short and placed flags in ground. The course from parking lot to 18th green covered in weeds. Fairway was a hit or miss whether your in middle or not. It could be better to have played in the rough at least you’d be hitting on grass. You might want to bring your drill to tee it up on tee box. And did I mention insetting a 2 putt max of every green due to the amount of poa annua on the greens was like putting in the game plinko with the marble and wall of nails. Absolutely the worst course I’ve ever played on. I will never play here again. Definitely not worth the 50 green fee.
Good course for price. Played here several times. Had one of my lowest rounds.
Not worth the cheap round.
The only redeeming quality of this course is the low cost and tee times always available- don’t let it fool you. Consistently waiting for carts past your tee time and incredibly slow pace.
