Brutal conditions/ Fair price

There has been so much rain the past few weeks I understand it is hard to keep a course in great shape. However, in this case it feels more like an excuse than anything. Parts of the course were extremely hard and dry while all over the course were giant mud puddles! All in all it was easy to get on fairly priced for what it was. Great pace of play and some fun memories. If you are looking for a great golf experience look elsewhere… if you just want to chase a little ball around and doge standing water… this is the place for you.

Disappointed…

I used to play Duck Creek often but it has been about a year-year and half. This place has gone down hill. I can understand the club house still being in a trailer but the course was in terrible condition. The grass was high; and weeds everywhere. I have seen better conditions on my neighbors lawn. The grass seemed to have not been cut in weeks, which just seemed lazy. Greens were hard and painted. I was completely disappointed knowing how the course used to be. Instead of getting staff to keep up with pace of play they have put in place virtually Marshall tablets in dated carts. Just seems like money being spent on wrong things. I would not recommend.

Terrible

Course is very old. Most Tee Boxes not marked. Fairway full of debris from creeks overflowing. Fire ant mounds everywhere. Cart ran out of gas on 8th hole of 18 hole play.

Ran out of carts

We started 30 mins late because they ran out of carts due to slow play. Multiple trees are broken on the course, looks like from a bad storm from a year ago.

The Course needs a LOT of LOVE

If we're being completely honest, this is what we refer to as a goat track and that doesn't stand for Greatest... The people are nice. The course is not in good shape. Perhaps it's the time of year. You definitely can't complain about the price - very, very reasonable. Don't see us coming back. We have been spoiled by other places.

Good For Beginners

This Duck Creek Golf Course in Garland, TX is what I’d call a “get-back-into-the-swing-of-things” kind of course. It’s not going to blow you away with pristine fairways or championship-level greens—but if you’re a beginner or just shaking off the rust after some time away from the game, it’s a solid option.

Let’s be honest: the course could use some serious TLC. Weeds are scattered throughout, tee boxes are rock hard (I only found 3 where it was easy to get a tee in the ground), several fairways had patches of dry mud, and the greens were far from smooth. So if you’re expecting lush conditions, this probably isn’t your spot.

But here’s the upside: the staff was super friendly and welcoming, and you really can’t beat the price. For a casual round or to build confidence before stepping up to a more challenging course, Duck Creek does the trick. Just manage your expectations and bring a sense of humor—and maybe a hammer for your tees.

I wonder where the greens fee goes?

I have never played on a course quite like this one. It was not good in every sense of the word. Imagine a course with potential, then stop cultivating and caring for it for years on end, all the while keeping the 'business' open.

It would astonish me if anyone were there for a second time. For the price, or close to it, I have played countless courses that were, in fact, golf-ready. This course has not been golf-ready for quite some time.

If you just have to see it to believe it, then you deserve to pay. You can save yourself the cost and drive out to the country, hit balls in a pasture, and have nearly the same experience.
