Not worth it-even the hot deal
There are multiple reasons this course has issues. Not only from the club house being a literal trailer, range has no maintenance done to it in months to the point where there isn’t visible divots…it’s just dirt. The course was decent, EVERY sandbox had weeds and debris in them, green perimeters were very overgrown, but maintenance trucks were out. Fairways were a little complex with certain holes overlapping on the back 9.
Then again, for $25 hot deal in golf now, we didn’t expect much. But to say it’s worth the $55 a player regular price is insane.
To top it off, I left a range finder in the cart we used. We called them 10 minutes after leaving, no answer. Emailed them, no answer. Called the following day and was told property left on carts becomes properly of course LOL. And guess what, found my range finder on Facebook Marketplace a few days after that looks to be an employee. Waited to post this review to see what the person would respond with, but since I have not heard a response in 48hrs, I wanted to make sure everyone who comes here knows what they’re getting in to.
Good course to experience one time
We played here because a member of our group had a meeting in the area later that day but honestly this was an average to below average course. Mostly the staff hindered it from being better. Had three in our party, asked to add a fourth when we got there and was told we couldn’t. Went to the first hole and they added a random fourth to our group. Our forth showed up and they still didn’t budge but mentioned how they added a random fourth to our group so what would it have mattered to add our own friend. We solved the situation but was pointless from the front office to make it difficult.
Secondly, no beverage cart because it was “too cold” so they said call the shop and they’ll send us the drink we want…tf? Oh, there is no club house. Just a trailer looking thing on blocks lol.
Grounds were hard. Greens are very fast. And bunkers are mid. Just prepare yourself for a mid experience.
Good course
Enjoyed this course. Not many bunkers though. The greens were really fast. I don’t think this course deserves the refuse has gotten as I had a pleasant experience here. It’s more of a simple golf and play not stay at the clubhouse and hang out. Limited food options.
Hoping they will get the clubhouse rebuilt before long.
Not worth the cost
There is a reason there’s plenty of available tee times. Course is in very poor condition, pace of play is brutally slow, and the driving range is probably the worst I’ve ever seen. For $50 there are far better courses you can play in the DFW area. Course layout is okay I guess but still doesn’t make up for the fact that the grass is dead and patch in just about every fairway.
Slow, bad, cheap course
I always get succored into playing this course. And I’m always promptly reminded why this course is so cheap. They’ve stacked tee times so tight that you’re guaranteed a 5 hour round. The course conditions are always abysmal so it’s a pretty brutal 5 hours. The layout is decent and the people are nice but it’s not enough to overcome the negatives. This course has so much potential but is just so bad.
Fun round!
Was a little slow but good for my girlfriends first time ever going!
they declined to let me play
drrive 45 min to get to the course. upon arriving the pro shop informed me there was a tournament and they did not allow me to get on and to contact golfnow for refund. you all had all my information yet nd no one contacted me to let me know in advance. I am still waiting for GN to contact me. there is no email or phone I can call. the online chat is closed till
monday. terrible customer service and experience
U ever feel sorry for a course?
This is a beautifully laid out course that has a great reputation from time to time but not today. They need water badly!! We paid $40 something on a Sunday and we’re glad to get the tee time cuz the weather was perfect! So t b back hill they get some water or rain!
