Don't do it...
First time and definitely the last. Pace of play was non existent. The course itself was not well kept. The lay out is hazardous to your health. Don't do it...
Poor Staff Person
Liked the course OK. The guy (Danny) in the Pro Shop needs some lessons in customer appreciation. I informed him that I was a senior, and was very cordial to him. His response was "you smell like a senior" . Some young punk behind me snickered, but I let it go. I'm sure he thought he was being funny. I didn't think so. I was considering putting Duck Creek in the regular rotation for me and my friends. I won't be going back - we selected Pecan Hollow instead.
Poor Business
Arrived yesterday morning for our 11:10 tee time that I booked through Golf Now. The staff, mainly the PGA Professional named Mike refused to honor the online rate of $30. Said it was not their fault that GN had advertised the wrong price. I will never go back there. Horrible customer service.
Be careful playing here.
We booked a rate on Golf Now at $30 and when we got to the course they charged us $45. When I asked them why the difference they told me "golf now does their own thing". Thankfully I called Golf Now and they took care of everything and credited my account the difference. I will not be returning to Duck Creek.
It's a challenge
This course does challenge your game! It's tight fairways and each shot counts. I had a great time.
Great Course for your Buck !!
I love stayed in garland for many years and never knew this course existed !! I would recommend this course to beginners and average players.. The layout gives you more opportunities to play your shot.. Not to many hazard zones.. But overall it's a great practice course and would recommend it to friends and family
Didn't play because of Outing that wasn't listed
I'm extremely disappointed in the way the staff handled my tee time. I booked this course the day before, for a 8:48 AM tee time as a single. Arrived at the course 45 minutes early and noticed a large crowd in the parking lot and pro shop. Went to check in and pay for the round, and was told by the attendant that I would need to play fast and stay out of the way of the outing going out at 9:00 AM. He basically told me not to play, and if I decided to play, they would have the marshalls remove me as soon as the shotgun started. No apology, basically I should have not booked the tee time and blamed GolfNow for their error.
Very average
Average layout. Average conditions (less than one would expect in May). Good service. Probably wouldn't recommend with all of the other awesome courses around DFW in every direction. Lots of better options out there. Not bad if you can get it for $30-40 on a weekend morning though.
Good layout, terrible greens
The layout of the course is good, but not conducive to walking. Many tee boxes were far from the previous green. The greens reminded me of the surface of the moon. The man in the pro shop was not friendly. It appeared that he wished he was somewhere else. I won't be back
Unkept with terrible greens and eye sores everywhere
Got a hot deal on Golf Now for 40 bucks. Clubhouse looks like an old Mormon church. Bartender looks like he is the lead singer for Korn. The fairways were decent but everything else was unkept and run down. I play golf because I enjoy the scenery but it's hard to do that when everywhere you look has a tennis court that hasn't been played on since the 1970's. Seriously, do not pay more than 20 bucks to play this because it's not worth it.
Stay away
Greens are mostly sand, the cart paths are awful, can't find a place to wash your club, shouldn't be more than $15 to play here until they put some money into this course but for now it's still $40. Only play here as a last resort
Good but could use work
Tee of was around 10:30am. Not bad for the price. The greens could use some work. But it was a very laid back smooth 18 holes. I like that we were able to play with no real rush. The layout is pretty good, I did loose a lot of balls, but really only at the 12,13, and 18th hole. I will def be back soon.
I will also add i only paid 17 bucks.
Terrible
Not a golf course. I field that was mowed over. Wouldn't play there again for free. Do not pay more than $10. They charged me $40!!
Duck Creek needs work
Understand the financial constraints but course is in sad shape. Was a member when it was private, always enjoyed the course. Staff trying hard but maintenance is a major issue. Greens thin, fairways have been flooded ( very rough shape) and just looks like it is in disrepair. Too bad.
Great Day of Golf with Friends
Best course in town, for a no rush afternoon... easy pace of play, with your friends... Extreenly courteous staff, and proshop... Lots of challenges, so hitt'en straight... Or bring plenty of balls... :))
Great course for the money
Great course for the money
Great course
Great course but bunkers have been left to have grass and weeds grow in. Need to bring the bunkers back or make them part of the fairway not having a rough lie in the middle of the fairway or to chip out of.
A nice experience
The course is very playable. I would recommend it most to somebody you wants a fairly low stress round. Pretty flat, no blind shots, greens in good shape but not complicated, tiered or undulating. Very good players will be fairly bored so if you are looking for a good test this probably isn't worth your time. The fees and service are very good for the money and a BIG bonus was that is was very wide open for a beautiful weekend day. Playing fast as a twosome was very nice. Drink cart with friendly staff was a plus.

I have played this course since it opened. Danny is a very funny man and is excellent with customers. I look forward to seeing him behind the counter.
