Legacy Hills Golf Club
About
Legacy Hills Golf Club opened in fall 1996 and immediately gained the respect of the central Texas golf community. Designed by Greg Cash and Billy Casper, the course blends in beautifully with the natural terrain, featuring rolling hills, old oak trees, ravines, and numerous elevation changes, both in the fairway and on the greens.
Berry Creek runs through the layout, and is integral to the signature par-5 18th hole, where you'll have two options off the tee. One side offers the more conservative lay-up, while the other option involves clearing the creek but gives you the chance to get home in two on this 520-yard hole. Fairway bunkers loom ominously, and the long green is extremely prone to a three-jack.
Before you get to that one, though, two par 3s stand out on each side. No. 4 plays 171 yards into a pond and a rock-guarded, three-tiered green. No. 16 goes 216 yards into another multi-level green guarded by water and sand on the right.
Legacy Hills Golf Club's ninth hole rivals the 18th as the signature -- it plays 357 yards uphill, with a creek along the left and fairway bunkers waiting for your tee shot. The approach involves a waterfall, but it's actually more scenic that it is difficult since a good drive leaves you with a short iron in.

Legacy hills
This course had fantastic greens with the exception of 2 or 3 that have bad grass growing all over them. They need to get control over this before it ruins their greens. I believe it was hole 1 Course was in great shape. Greens are large and roll great except for the one mentioned. Most holes have wide and forgiving fairways. Get off the fairway and tall grasses hide your ball. These tall grasses need to be cut. Im sure they will be once the ground dries due to the recent rains.
Nice course
Good layout with great greens rolling true. The fairways were hard as cement.
Thanks for the 3-stars and sharing your feedback with us. Your comments regarding our fairways have been passed along to our staff for any potential improvements, but we're expecting conditions to keep improving with warmer weather and sunshine ahead! We hope to welcome you back to Legacy Hills Golf Club again soon. #LegacyHillsGC
Sun City resident golfers are exempt from course rules!
I purchased 18 holes on Golf Pass and after 3 hour front 9 behind a small tournament of Sun City residents I teed off on 10 and some old guy in a cart informed me 2 Foursomes where in the clubhouse celebrating their 3 hour first 9 and I would need to wait and not tee off before them. I then showed the rude dude the score card that said if you are past 2 hours 9 minutes on 9 holes you would be asked to skip a hole. Do not buy these Golf Pass Deals on Sun City courses they take your money and the Sun City residents are allowed to break the rules!!! Public golfers treated like crap!!!
Mike, thanks for the 4-star review and choosing Legacy Hills Golf Club! We hope you enjoyed your recent round with us and come back soon. #LegacyHillsGC

Lightning Fast Greens
Overall great. Greens held but putted north of 10 on the stimp meter. Stay below the hole!
Thanks for the 4-stars and great feedback! We look forward to having you back at Legacy Hills Golf Club again soon. #LegacyHillsGC
Awesome course and great pace
I was assigned a great partner an the course was immaculate
Fun round
Course was in great shape and greens are tricky.
Layout is fun and the staff is great.
Great course
Layout of course is good. Maintenance has kept course in good condition
Amazing
The greens are pristine, the fairways are immaculate, the pin placements are challenging, and the bunkers are well kept. I can’t wait to go back! I wish the price wasn’t so steep, but the better the course the higher the price. The Greens Keeper has got to be the best in the area. The pace of play is 4 hours and 20 minutes. Probably the best course I have ever played.
Legacy Course in Georgetown
Played from blue tees. Lot of sand traps but no water hazard. Fairways were wide open. Was hard to read the greens
Can't wait to get back out there
Pretty much the only course I could find that was open after a pretty rainy weekend. It's been on my list to check out anyway, so I made the drive from Austin. Well worth the trip. Great layout, makes you think and if you can work the ball a bit you can score pretty well but it also doesn't penalize you too much for bad shots. Greens looked to be aerated recently and rolling very well. I'm looking forward to another trip really soon.
The only weird thing was #5. There weren't tee markers on the box, so I just assumed they'd already picked up the markers since I was literally the only person on the course. Teed off anyway and when I got up near the landing area I could see why--lots of GUR in the fairway and a temporary tee set up in the fairway, turning a long par 4 into I guess a 90 yard par 3. So hopefully that gets fixed up soon.
New rakes, please!
I grabbed a rake in the second fairway bunker that left fiberglass slivers in my hand. Time for some replacements!
Great fun, course in pretty good condition
I like the layout of this course. If you think your way around the course, and hit the shots you mean to ;), then it's great fun. The greens were in great shape, as were the tees. The fairways were very good, too.
Dry
Course was a little burned up. Greens in good shape but fairways are brown and crusty. A lot of thin hard lies. Needs water.
Thanks for the 5-stars and taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your patience & understanding regarding a few of our greens, as this time of year creates some struggle with Poa Annua for our maintenance staff. We are working diligently on treatment, however, it is a cool season grass so conditions will be improving with the warmer temps ahead! We hope you still enjoyed the day with us at Legacy Hills Golf Club and look forward to having you back again soon.
