About
Legacy Hills Golf Club opened in fall 1996 and immediately gained the respect of the central Texas golf community. Designed by Greg Cash and Billy Casper, the course blends in beautifully with the natural terrain, featuring rolling hills, old oak trees, ravines, and numerous elevation changes, both in the fairway and on the greens.
Berry Creek runs through the layout, and is integral to the signature par-5 18th hole, where you'll have two options off the tee. One side offers the more conservative lay-up, while the other option involves clearing the creek but gives you the chance to get home in two on this 520-yard hole. Fairway bunkers loom ominously, and the long green is extremely prone to a three-jack.
Before you get to that one, though, two par 3s stand out on each side. No. 4 plays 171 yards into a pond and a rock-guarded, three-tiered green. No. 16 goes 216 yards into another multi-level green guarded by water and sand on the right.
Legacy Hills Golf Club's ninth hole rivals the 18th as the signature -- it plays 357 yards uphill, with a creek along the left and fairway bunkers waiting for your tee shot. The approach involves a waterfall, but it's actually more scenic that it is difficult since a good drive leaves you with a short iron in.

Too hot for partners
Typical round at Legacy. Course is in decent shape for the ‘dog days’ of summer. It was too hot for others, so played solo. Good practice round.

Course is in excellent conditions.
We played on a Monday afternoon, so we pretty much had the course to ourselves. The course was in great condition, greens were beautiful. Carts were brand new.

GREAT COURSE / GREAT RATE
Teed of at 3:05 Sunday afternoon for $22. Range was closed but two golfers both of us single digit handicap - played the round in under 3 hours. Easy to see what is in front of you, nice fast greens. For the money on a weekend round - hard to beat.

Cool layout but be prepared for glares if your not a Sun City resident
The course has a fun layout. Lots of elevation changes and interesting features.

Great Course...Great Condition
Tee time was 2:20. It was crowded. We were a twosome on a Sunday, thus we did not feel compelled to jump ahead, go through or anything. We played the front nine again and only saw two other groups. It was great.

Good course few amenities
Course in good shape staff friendly fun layout but no beverage cart and long waits and walks to get drinks at the turn. Pace of play for our foursome was 4 hours 10 minutes.
