Georgetown Country Club
About
Georgetown Country Club is an old, private course, dating back to 1924 when it was a 9-hole layout. The second nine was added in the 1970s, and today the par 70 layout rolls through the San Gabriel River valley, with water coming into play on eleven holes.
The old nine is more basic, taking advantage of the natural terrain without as many modern, man-made hazards. The newer back is a bit more difficult, highlighted by the signature 13th, which plays 538-yards and crosses the San Gabriel twice.
Getting there : From I-35 north, take the Lake Georgetown/Andice exit and turn left. Drive over the overpass and turn left onto Country Club Road. Look for the clubhouse on the left side of the road.

Would have been nice to know
I have played the course a lot over the years and it is a jewel in the area. I checked in and everything was "normal", including full price green fees. When I got to the course it was quite a different story. They had not covered their greens during the local freeze here and the greens were mostly rolled mud with very little grass. The fairways were all punched and thin as well. No warning or discount on green fees with the course in that kind of shape is pretty hard to take. And they were hosting a tournament in 3 days. I would stay away from the course for a couple months and definitely call to check course conditions.
Terrible EVERYTHING
We got there and they didn’t even have us on the tee sheet. Then they let three groups go before us when we were all on time and tried to push us 10 mins before tee time. All three groups went first tee time was 11:08 we went off at 11:40. Course was in terrible condition for a CC. Greens were brown. Staff was decent members there were really rude. I don’t recommend playing here or going back.
Fun course
The course is lot's of fun with interesting water hazards and challenging holes, e. G. Hole 7, very uphill par3.
Short and tight
You do not have to be a longer hitter for this course. Fairways are narrow and your iron game needs to be on point to score here. Very nice layout! We will definitely try and play here again.
Fun for something different
Short course that is fairly tight, interesting holes and useful to have some local knowledge on distances and lines off the tee. Several adjacent holes so pay attention to other golfers. Course is in good condition but not great, staff was friendly, nice atmosphere to enjoy a post round drink on the patio. Good pace of play, finished in about 3.5 hours.
Not worth the cost.
Too expensive for the quality and condition of the course.
Good for the price
Much better shape then the last time a played a few years ago.
Not For Me
If you like a short and demanding course with a lot of cart path crossings in front of tee boxes, this one is for you.
Georgetown CC
Tight course
Course layout is rather "compacted". A lot of back tracking from greens to next tee box, at times going back towards golfers on the tee box so have to look out for that. Driving on to the course itself can also be a challenge as the #10 fairway is literally 20 yards from road.
Very hilly short course would not recommend it to older players
