Teravista Golf Club
About
Despite its Hill Country setting, Teravista Golf Club has more of a links feel, with wide-open fairways and casually rolling mounds. About 60-70 white bunkers spot the layout, and water comes into play on 14 holes. No. 17 is the no. 1 handicap, playing a long 443 yards from the tips. The hole bends left toward a kidney-shaped green that is surrounded by three bunkers. Teravista G.C. offers a beginner-friendly tee box that plays only 3,744 yards, making it enjoyable for any skill level. The National Golf Course Owners Association has dubbed this 18-hole Clifton-Ezell-Clifton design a "Beginner Friendly Course."

Good Course Painful Pace of Play
Teravista Golf Club is a beautiful facility with a challenging and enjoyable layout. The course conditions are consistently very good, with well-maintained fairways and greens that roll true. It's a truly scenic and fun track to play... if you have all day.
The overwhelming downside is the extremely slow pace of play. Be prepared for a frustratingly long round, as 5-hour or even 5.5-hour rounds appear to be the norm, especially on weekends and peak times. The course seems to book tee times too closely together, making for constant waits on nearly every shot. While the physical course is top-notch, the agonizing crawl of the round severely diminishes the overall experience. Go early or be ready for a test of patience.
Play early in the day
Staff is great. I just can’t love this course with 8 minutes tee time intervals. We played at 745am on a Sunday and finished in a respectable 4 hrs 20 minutes. Could have been quicker but 2 groups ahead of us slowed down the pace, with the marshal mentioning they were over a hole behind. If you play late morning or afternoon, you’re in for a 5 1/2+ hr round. EVERY TIME. Course was in great condition, feel it’s a little overpriced but it is what it is nowadays. Plenty of other options if you’re willing to travel within an hour of Austin for courses that are just as nice but half the cost
Course is not worth the cost
Course amenities, and course maintenance for the price you pay is not where it should be. It was a great layout though. The staff is horrific though. I’ve been to many nice courses and usually the higher cost courses have amazing staff, but this course….just expect to have patience with their staff. Not a great experience.
A really fun layout. Course was in good shape coming out of winter. No complaints at all. A very good experience.
Don’t Waste your money here
Way overpriced for what this course is. It’s a muni level course and I’d rather play local munis than this place. Greens are terrible. Layout is terrible. Range is terrible. $80 for a Monday afternoon round is atrocious. Be better.
good... but not worth a weekend tee time of $120
spend your money elsewhere if you're going to pay that much for golf. while the course is in great shape, its very easy, nothing great to look at, surrounded by houses, pretty boring course but again, it is in great shape. if you're spending $120 plus on tee times, go out to Lost Pines and spend a bit more for a much better and exclusive experience.
pace of play was horrible too. they need a marshall.
One of the worst rounds of my life.
We were raced to tee off when the group in front of us on 1 was still in the fairway. We proceeded to wait on every shot on the front nine because a family with a younger kid was in front of us (which is fine but lame). No ranger to move them along, nothing. After they left at the turn, we had room infront of us (obviously) and on 14 the ranger came up and suggested we skip a hole because we were off pace relative to our tee time. It took us 3 hours to play the front nine. I was a caddie for 10 years and have never been more frustrated. For $130 this is insulting. Never going back.
Track worth playing
Nice layout and in better condition than most plated this week. Driving range was closed on Wednesdays from 8-10am so be aware. Other than that a very nice course and worth the value.
Wonderful Course
Challenging course, made more so by the winds of the day, but challenging greens and layouts. Greens were in good shape for the time of season. Only critique would be the fairway being full of tree leaves.
Absurd how slow the pace was. But we still had a great time
