Applecross Country Club

The course was beautiful and the staff was very amicable and helpful.

Applecross being a private club, it is really nice to see that they throw a few tee times out there to grab on golfnow. For $80 bucks it was a good deal. The people who work at the club are very friendly and helpful. The course itself was in great shape and provides a good test. If I see it available again, would definitely be back.

Spotless condition especially for the end if the year. Wonderful layout and staff was friendly and welcoming. Wonderful facilities. Get there early and enjoy the range!

This is a fantastic course. I usually am wary of courses that are running through neighborhoods, but this one is an exception. A lot of strategic play is needed for success. Some very tough holes, and the course is generally tight. Green complexes are tricky and conditions are firm. I didn’t play well, but loved the course still. Conditions overall we’re perfect. If I lived closer I would definitely look into membership.

Played this course again. I absolutely love this course. Fairways and greens are beautiful. They have the best halfway house hot dogs I have ever had.

Only realized after that Applecross is a private club. If you’re able snag one of their public tee times that they make available, I highly recommend doing so. My only complaint would be the smell of raw sewage that lingered at times and completely punched you in the face at other times. Definitely not what you’d expect at a private club.

Played multiple private courses and this one is pretty good. Course looks well played and greens were not as fast as I would expect. Holes were interesting. Good variations but is you avg over 260 yard drives then you should play the black tees. I played the gold and left with half wedges. Not very interesting. Other than that it is worth playing.

Enjoyed my preview round at Applecross. Nicklaus design courses generally give me trouble due to the very undulating greens. Applecross was no different. Speed of the greens was a little slow but immaculate condition. Most of the course is easy to navigate and to keep your ball in play but as mentioned you have to put your ball on the right green quadrant to avoid 3 putts. Clubhouse has an excellent bar on the top level and the club has an unbelievable pool & fitness center which we did not have an opportunity to use. If the course was anywhere close to my home I would consider membership. Enjoyed my visit!

nice course. there are many nice courses in the area. there is little to no awareness that golf pass players might actually be interested in joining the club. There was very little help to find anything. (range, first tee, locker room etc). we never actually found the practice green. it was full of members who knew where to go, but no one really said.. hey. can I help you find something. there are very little signs to find where to go, eventually the bar tender was pretty nice.

Solid course. Not easy by any means…especially tee shots. Great layout.

What an excellent experience. Overall cannot say enough about this experience, thank you to Applecross management for opening up the course to allow non members to experience this most excellent course.
