From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Good Round interrupted by Rain
Enjoying a nice round of golf when the skies opened up after finishing 13. Too bad, ti was a nice day up to then.
Nest mid price golf,
Greens, some of the best around for price point.
Wish they would do better job with repair the old pin placements.
Pace of Play was Horrible.
I joined a single and 2 other golfers and they all left at the turn due to the pace of play. It took about 2 hours to finish the front 9 and it was getting slower.
I did not see a marshall out there monitoring or speeding up play. I left at at hole 15 so did not get what I paid for. The course itself is fun, but it was crowded and the golfers ahead of us thought they were Tiger Woods, Waiting till th group ahead was off the green on a par 5 before they hit their 2nd shot. They, of course, were horrible and were spraying the ball everywhere.
Up date older review
Planed for 8 guys and 9 show up. Very nice of the Marshall to work in a extra tee time. The course is in very good condition and the greens are fast and maintained well. The staff was high quality. The senior rate of $47 is still a bit too high.
Poor Raincheck Policy
We were on the #1 tee box when a thunderstorm came in. It rained so hard the course emptied and carts were coming in from all over the course. We were denied a raincheck because we booked through GolfNow. I couldn’t modify/cancel from GolfNow app because we were at our tee time and you only have up to a hour before to cancel.
Course plays well
The conditions of the course are really good and while the course is open they have done a great job working in challenges throughout.
