Prairie Lakes Golf Course - Red Course

Great course. Very easy to play. It’s more like a links course. Greens were excellent . I will definitely play it again

Course is In good condition fir as hit as it is outside, couple dry spots in fairway greens rolling well. Definitely worth the money

The course is in incredible condition right now. Early tee time on a Sunday and finished right at 3 hours which is pretty much impossible in most places today. This is a great mid-tier muny course that is in my regular rotation.

Great beginner course with limited rough and trees to find balls. Love the 3 sets of 9 holes to make each round a little different

Course is currently undergoing repairs and renovations. However overall experience was good as always. There are a number of holes lakeside which is uncommon in DFW and a fun change of pace anytime you play.

Course was great greens were fast but it was hot and there is no water jugs other then that had a great time

Course was in pretty rough shape. Lots of damaged cart paths and some pretty scabby fairways. Greens were decent for the most part. They also had too few carts to accommodate at check in and the carts they did have were beat up pretty bad. Did not see a beverage cart the entire time. Probably won’t play here again until they can make the experience a little better.

The cart path is still under construction in a lot of places but other than that it was a nice course

This was a good course. Of course, no place is perfect. The carts could use some love and updating. And the grass could have used some cutting in some areas. The greens were okay just really slow. Some of the slowest I’ve ever played. But besides that, it was laid out well, and fun to play. There was a good mix of par 3,4,and 5 and laid out well. Right after struggling on a par 5 I could get my confidence back on a decent par 3 haha I appreciated the layout and ease of play the most. And it really was quite beautiful out there. No sand traps but a lot of water. Bring lots of balls if you’re still learning like me haha

They were having some issues with carts not being available and were pretty backed up when we got to the clubhouse after the first 9. They started turning people away because of it and also were having issues with carts charging and the phones were down. It was a lot going on But the staff really shined. They were friendly in handling a stressful situation for a lot players. No doubt people who had to get turned away, even though they booked a tee time, will be annoyed but it really seemed out of their control and they were handling it the best they could and remained friendly and courteous to people.

The restaurant on sight was amazing. Some of the best fried fish I’ve ever had but be prepared, the service is soooooo slow. So plan around that.

Overall though, I’d play again and would visit more if it wasn’t so far from where I live
