An accurate tee shot from the towering tee above the par-4 5th leaves you this short but challenging approach. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The 2nd hole and adjacent 17th are both longish uphill par-4s that are nearly mirror images. Par is a good score on either. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

Not a lot of flat lies in the landing zone on the par-4 12th, making the approach that much tougher. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-4 14th is the first time you encounter a water hazard on this course, a nice reprieve. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

THe par-3 15th also has water in view, giving you back-to-back opportunities to lose your lucky Noodle. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

The par-5 18th is just a super cool golf hole. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 06/02/2020

One of my favorites in Maryland
This course always makes for a fun round. Ernie Els co-designed the course and it’s such a fun layout. A lot of elevated tee shots make for great views. Challenging holes demand good play all the way from tee to green but it still caters to an mid-handicap golfer like myself. Conditions were perfect. Fairways were the best I’ve played on in a while and the greens were a little slow but rolled true otherwise. We had a wait on just about every hole but still ended up finishing in about 4 hours 15 minutes so nothing outrageous. Really can’t recommend a better public course in the area or the state for the price. Not to mention the $45 twilight green fee.
MDW Great Course, Wide Open
Played on Memorial Day - it was a little strange there was no one out there. We played as a three-some and there was no one in front or behind of us. Check-in and starter were easy, starter provides you with all the information you need - 90 degrees, drinking water on all par-3’s, fix ball marks, etc. Carts are brand new with GPS and auto-locking breaks. Course was in good condition. Greens were a little bumpy, but we did play on the third day of a three day weekend. Overall I highly recommend this course for a moderate to experienced golfer.
Amazing!!
Stepping on to this course for the first time I have to say was amazing! Well kept even for the first part of the season. Staff was engaging and helpful from start to finish. Will put this course on my list to play often as possible. Just beautiful!
Excellent Course!
1st time playing Whiskey Creek. Knew course had an excellent reputation from what friends have told me.
Staff is very thorough here. Had both the GM and Marshall come over to our group a couple of times apologizing for the slow pace of play.
Course was in great shape. Slight aeration on some of the greens. Surprised that the pro shop had no yardage books for sale.
Will definitely come back to play Whiskey Creek again this Summer!
Nice layout
I have played Whiskey Creek many times. Most of the time it is in outstanding shape. Today the course didn't live up to its normal high quality. The greens were very bumpy and slow. The sand traps were not raked and were wet. The course layout was its usual great self. Did not like starting from the back nine first. Courses are made to play certain way.
Great Course!
Course is usually in very good condition. If the greens weren’t arifide a weeks ago, the course would be absolutely perfect. Catch a good price and you won’t be disappointed!
Sad
I used to LOVE playing here, but it's been several years since I've played here and the course has been in pristine condition. I was really hoping that 2019 would be different. It doesn't look like this will be the case. The ONLY good condition here are the fairways. The tees are not good. The bunkers are not good. The greens are HORRIBLE. I was told that the greens were punched 7 weeks ago. They are rolling like they were punched 3 days ago. I was also told, by the VERY nice starter, that it has to do as much with mother nature than anything. How can this be true when the other courses in this area are in MUCH better shape in late April? I got a good deal on Golf Now. I can not FATHOM paying full price to play this place in it's current condition. It is sad and embarrassing :(.
FirstTimer - loved it
would recommend this course. Greens were aerated but you have to expect that in early spring. very nice views on the course. fairways were in great shape already.
Greens are just not good!
I keep giving this course a chance because it’s such a great layout but the greens are terrible. We were told aeration was done a month ago. If that’s true this course has serious problems. Full rate of $109??? You’ve got to be kidding. It’s such a shame, but course conditions never seem to live up to the price. Would definitely play here more often if the greens were pristine or even just good. Or, if the rates came down. For the money, Worthington Manor much better. PB Dye getting there too. Or drive to Bulle Rock and play there. Laurel Hill in Va., much better as well.
Not a good time
We played in a great day the course was very wet, we played the back nine with many flag not even on the green and ground crew working everywhere and not stopping for your shot or putting
Not friendly at all and not ready for play .they should delayed play if not ready
The course in general suffered a lot of rain this year and look like a poor ground keeping. The price was cheap but I would a rather played somewhere else.
Good day at Whiskey Creek
After three attempts at playing here this month we played it yesterday. Course is great, conditions not quite so, some debris on greens due to extreme winds the day before and some parts of greens under repair due to early in season. Can't blame staff as to out of their control. Enjoyable day on great course at great price.
Beautiful late fall day
Always a treat to play Whiskey. Had the whole course to ourselves. Considering it rained 4 inches the previous two days the course was in remarkably good condition.
cold weather
Course was closed. Apparently there was some confusion between the course and Golf Now.
Someone from Whiskey Creek called a couple of hours before we played to tell us the course was closed. I think them for letting us know before we left to go to the course.
