Prairie Lakes Golf Course - White Course

Tee off on the Red course and stayed in the fairway about 8 minutes waiting to hit my second shot. Foursome was on the green taking forever to putt and another foursome on the fairway. I was by myself. This had 5 hours written all over it. I went back to the White course and a twosome had just tee off. I played behind them and the pace was pretty good for the day. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Shot my best front nine 44 in years but blew up on the back nine. Still had a really good time and the weather was perfect 57, sunny and no wind at all.

No beverage cart On a Saturday afternoon. No Marshall. Rushed us to tee box before our time. Course is nice. But took 6 hours to play 18, even when there are 27 holes.

Solid value for the price. Good practice facilities. Course is always in decent shape and plays pretty short. A lot of fun par 3s and challenging holes on the water. No sand. Even if you miss the fairway you have a good chance of finding your ball.

I think the title says it all, staff were wonderful, kind of expensive, but a lot was spent on remodel. Not as fun as before, even senior tees are challenging to get pars.

Love the challenges that this course has,fair and interesting holes,would come back again!!! Thanks !

No bunkers but the course lay out with plenty of trees and water give you a great challenge.

We played with foursome and did our own two man scramble.

Pace of play was good course was in excellent condition.

Bbq is always good and a beer is $4.

The par 3 holes are fun and challenging. Not a lot of variety to the par 4s and the par 5s were decent. Greens were consistent. No beverage cart.

Normally a great course.

Today speed of play was brutal.

We played Blue to red.

Pace was pretty good on Blue.

We finished it and went to Red.

Five some playing in front of us now and three foursomes in front of them.

Pro shop apparently messed up and started letting new people start on red or people coming off white were going to red instead of going to blue.

Regardless nobody paying attention to speed of play today.

We skipped 3 holes on back 9 to get around this mess. I Probably will go to a differ course my next time out.

We had a great day with the course in great shape, putts flowing smoothly. This course is beautiful along the lake with some wildlife to enjoy.

Course was not crowded do pace of play was great. The fairways are in good condition and the greens speed was good. Could be a little faster. But overall I’d say the course is in good shape and ready for play.

I’ve been playing there going on twenty years and never get tired of it. It was in as good shape as I’ve ever seen it. Look forward to playing there again.

How have I lived in Dallas 35 years and not played here before? I'm not sure but I'll definitely be back soon. Challenging old school layout. From the back tees these courses have some healthy par 3's. Fantastic conditioning and super friendly golf shop staff. Only complaint would be no water coolers on the course. Plan ahead especially in the summer time. Get your refreshments before the round and at the turn from the friendly girls in the restaurant.
