Golfer Reviews
Interesting Course
From wide open fairways to narrow uphill windows the course was both challenging and open. First time playing the course and would go back, maybe with more golf balls this time. The downhill par 3 took a few from me. Great value.
Challenging but fun
Staff was very friendly when I first arrived. Range and putting green warm up areas available. Very hilly so deff don’t try and walk it unless you want a work out. Be prepared to lose some balls, wasn’t busy so I wasn’t rushed and could enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery.
Bunkers?
Half the bunkers were dirt not sand.
Still a decent course for the $.
My favorite course in Wisconsin
I golf this course a few times a year and it’s always in great shape, the layout is super fun with some interesting fareways, and the staff is always the best
Beautiful course
Course is longer, so a little more difficult for me, but always enjoy playing here.
Best Value of near Madison
Deer Valley feels like a $70-$80 round course, but you get it for $40. Can’t beat that. Good views, soft greens, Worth the drive from Madison.
Great Value
You can't beat what you get for the price at Deer Valley!
Good and interesting course
There are a lot of blind shots on the course, lots of hills that makes for a pleasant change up of golf courses around the Madison area. I always play this course once or twice a year.
Hidden gem
Love this course. For the price you cannot beat it
Decent course
Some interesting holes, for sure. Lots of blind shots. Prairie 9 was closed for aeration. The ridge had been aerated, so putting was brutal (bumpy and sandy). The Valley hadn't been done yet.
Ridge is great for slicers - just aim left and you'll be okay, even if you hit it straight. The Valley 9 can be tight in spots, so be prepared to hit a more controlled tee shot.
Price reflects course.
Fall aeration has been completed this week. The ridge 9 greens were not well cleaned after punching. Valley 9 was not done yet, however, is due this week. I have played this course quite a few times this year and the conditions in the spring were better. Near by kwik trip is remodeling and has no gas, plan accordingly.
Great course.
Great course but greens are really slow. Be prepared to hot those putts harder as they will stop going down the hill
