Fred Arbanas Golf Course - Par-3

Fun and challenging course. We played on a Wednesday afternoon and the guy working the pro shop suggested we pay for twilight hours, in which you can play as many holes as possible until dusk. We did just that, played a few extra holes after 18. About 7pm (sun has not set) we’re back at my car and unloading the golf cart when a pair of marshals pulled up. One of the marshals said, “Better get that cart turned in, boy.” I at first ignored the attitude and asked if we were supposed to be back at a certain time, because that was never mention. He insisted that we should have known carts needed to be in by 6:45, and was clearly irritated by that. He stopped us from returning the cart halfway to the clubhouse, and continued to harp on us as if we overstayed our welcome. However, at least 4 other groups were still making their way in to clubhouse after us. Nonetheless, I won’t be in a hurry to play Fred Arbanas again. There are too many courses in the metro that are just much better and have employees that don’t treat patrons poorly.

My only issue I had was the pace of play. I would like to see a marshal keeping the pace of play up. There were a couple of foursomes that ruined my partners and mine back nine. I still plan on playing this course ASAP.

I love the layout and elevation changes throughout. I hadn’t played here in several years but they’ve taken great care of the course. My only complaint was that the greens were very slow. If some effort to roll the greens were made it would be 5 out 5 stars for me. All in all very much worth the green fee.

Girl at check in not very friendly. Starter very nice. We enjoyed our day. Glad to see course open again.

Have planned to play this course for years...finally did and really enjoyed the round.
