Legendary Oaks Golf Course

I live within 20 minutes of this place. Great golf & wide open spaces. You never have much of a wait time & the people are kind.

Pace of play is horrendous, and this course has rapidly gone downhill. It is obvious management cares nothing about course conditions any more at all and emphasis is on every $$ they can make. Don’t bother making a tee time as they don’t care, show up anytime and they’ll happily take your money and pack as many people as they can on the course. Tees are bare and terribly uneven, again from overuse. You’d think they’d spend a few bucks on over-seeding tee boxes at least. There were at least five groups with five plus players, two with six and Marshall was invisible. As we made the turn after 2+ hours on the front the first tee was lined up three groups deep. Sad to see the downward spiral this course has taken.

This is a great layout. Every hole has some character. Worth the drive. If the bunkers were in better shape, it would be a really good course.

The course is a good value for the money. Rarely do you have a lost ball unless it is in the water. Some of the greens still need some work but overall they out true if a little slow.

We were behind a foursome that hd no one in front of them. Our round was 4h35m. Each tee box we had 2-3 groups stacked up waiting on the foursome. They were playing the white tees but probably should have played the red tees. They did no play ready golf and definitely took their time looking for their balls. There was a cart with the word Ranger on the front being driven by a staff member but he did not appear to say anything to the slow group.

Especially on a Sunday there needs to be a course marshal to deal with this type of group.

Great course, great friendly staff, great very reasonable price on food and beverages, coolers provided, Veteran discounts and good equipment. As a golf course Superintendant my self, I thought the course could have been a little better maintained. BUT! For their so reasonable play rates, I figure they just can't afford a bigger course staff and equipment. I will definetly be going back thou, because it is a good track and definetly playable.

Don’t expect the plush fairways of the $100 courses, but if you want to work on your game and enjoy the game Legendary is the place. Course is challenging as to various types of setup ( water around greens, fairway bunkers, sand traps, and other hazards). Will definitely be back.

The course was extremely long from back tees. Great value at their regular price but couldn't beat 12 dollars on golf now. Greens were fair and even though there were mature trees along fairways, you could always find your ball. Maintenance being done around course with landscaping so you can tell they are putting work into the course to make it friendly for those that pull or fade it off the fairways. All the holes set up really nice off the tee. Recommend moving up to blue tees to have a good chance at scoring well. Would definitely play again.

The course is always in good condition, The staff is kind and professional. As a USAF Veteran, I appreciate the Military discount. I will be be back to play often.

This course has great ratings, I imagine it's because there's not many courses around. It's not in great shape. I skipped the last two holes due to pace. There were six groups on the last two holes. One on the tee, one on the fairway and one on the green on 17 and 18. If you live out there and get on for less than 20 bucks I'd see why you'd give it a high rating. But I doubt I'll be back. Not hating, just saying.

It is a very forgiving nice course. The greens are recovering from the punching, inconsistent and slow.

Greens and fairways are in good condition for the fall season. Bunkers a still holding water though

I've been playing this course for many years and this is the best I've seen the greens ever. Great value Nd worth the price.

Pace of play is always good, never had a problem with slow play always waved through. The course is in fair condition with the greens above average condition but on the slow side of putting speed but I still like to play there always fun.

I have been golfing here since Jr High and it has always been a solid course. It has improved a ton over the years!

This course is well worth the drive from Houston and its good value for the money. Very friendly staff, challenging course in a peacefu setting.

I play the course a couple times a week. Staff is nice and professional. Course is in good shape and I enjoy playing there. I am from Houston but it is worth the drive for me. I wish there was a bit more sand in the sand traps because, right now they are difficult to hit out of. I will continue to play this course.
