Legendary Oaks Golf Course

Every time I make a reservation and show up the gentleman behind the counter changes the rules.

If I going to play single he says I can’t play solo and puts me with another player.

But I notice he let’s some people play solo. He seems to be selective on who he likes and doesn’t like.

A lot of really good golf holes. You have to endure patches of St. Augustine randomly amongst the Bermuda. Fairways had longer patches, but no balls !let in fairway. Greens rolled true a little slow. Overall the really good collection on holes should be motivation to overlook the cosmetics.

The course will challenge your skills on every hole. The pace of play is good and the golf course staff has always been very friendly.

The greens were slow but were in pretty good shape. The fairways were overgrown with weeds and the rough needed to be mowed.

It look as though ya'll have had a lot of rain lately. The fairways and rough were both in need of mowing when the course dries out.

There were some surprises with some water that was not visible.

Course is playing long because the fairways are soft and the grass is long. Pace of play on some days is ridiculously slow because the rough is to HIGH. It takes to long to find your ball in the rough. I played the other day and hit 2 balls on consecutive holes that barely entered the rough and we did not find either ball. The greens are coming back and the course is fun to play...just get that rough mowed and pace of play and enjoyment will increase. Thanks,

The course is in ok condition. Greens are really slow and some are in ok condition. More attention needed on the greens instead of new signs for each hole. Sand traps are horrible only a few are raked and have sand you can actually hit out of. Fairways in ok condition, lots of tall grass that needs to be mowed more often.

Greens were good and pace of play was great in the afternoon. The rough was very long and lost a lot of balls in the thick grass but overall had a great time.

I like this course a lot, challenging and fun. The staff is terrific and very friendly. I just wish they would spend some effort on cleaning the bathrooms!!

I have played this course many times. Today it was basically a pasture. Long grass on the fairways, traps not worked at all, greens were fair. Pace was very slow, long wait between shots. Course dry as a bone. I really like the layout, but upkeep is lacking. Hard to want to return.

Fairways t box and greens are in rough shape. They charged an extra 15 bucks for an extra cart for my 2 some. Guess they dont realize the effects of covid 19. Thank yall for looking after your clientele during this pandemic! Should of stuck with my normal course cy lakes! Pay the extra 15-20 bucks a person to the people who care about their golfers.

WONT GO BACK!!

Course was very dry. Players were not staying on cart path between green and next tee box.

As a result of Covid-19 I expected to find the course with less people playing than usual. Instead it was totally the opposite. They had even double booked t-times to try to get as many people out there as possible. I have played this course several times over the last 3 years and this was the most people I have ever seen out there. I was in a 2-some, and they tried to get us to play with 2 other complete strangers because they had booked too many tee times. This place is not taking Covid very serious at all. I was disappointed in that, but everything else about the course was fine.

Grass fairways and 1st cut area were not manicured or cut in several weeks at least a foot high of grass even around some greens Really I know they have a new owner for around nearly 2 years now and he was really making some improvements but this Time I do not know what happened but it is the worst I have seen in probably 2 years if not longer. Hopefully hitting get back under control what another couple of crew guys I did however see at least 2 guys out there cutting the grass. greens are slow and and little spongy but that's OK looks like a lot if not all of the fungus has been killed on the greens and they were actually the best thing going for the coarse today.

The course is a great place to go work on your game. My son and I play there often. The greens have almost completed their transition and am sure the rain will help. Great value.
