Whittier Narrows Golf Course - Mountain/River

Greens are great, fairways are decent, and the staff is very friendly! The main complaint would be slow play. It becomes very frustrating when you spend more time waiting to tee off than you spend playing out the hole, several of which had 4 groups.

Had a 5 some in front of us with 3 carts. Although they told a staff only 5 of them are playing but sometimes we saw all hit balls. Never concern about pace, and drove carts to green. The entire par 5 hole was open when they teed off. No marshall manage the pace, and when we complained, he came and talked to the group but no improvement.

Course condition was very poor, fairway was bear ground no grass, and green was super slow.

Not worth of money.

I am glad this is the only course I play that allows 5sum not GOOD, way to slow. We were a 2sum and they would not let us through.

It’s a nice golf course layout. Just some of the fairways need to be taken care of. Even the fairways are too bumpy with way too many gopher holes.

I’ve played here many times in the past and course conditions were not the greatest but this time I was really impressed with the way the course was. It was very green almost everywhere where before it was patchy along the fairway. It was really nice playing the course while it looked like this.
