About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Very Enjoyable Muni
Irving Golf Club has come a long way from the old Twin Wells. The front routing us unchanged, but the back is totally reversed and better.
Fairways are generous and elevated greens are in very good shape.
If you are inaccurate with your driver, you will probably lose a few balls in the rough - keep it in the fairway and it's a rewarding place to play.
I recommend the breakfast sandwich with crisp bacon, egg and cheese :)

Great Condition
Have not played this course since 2020 and it is in much better shape today. Even with drought, fairways and greens in great shape. We will be back again soon

Well Maintained Course
Late in the summer, several courses are showing signs of distress. This course has been welll maintained, and playing there was enjoyable.

Wet fairways and cart path only today due to rain at night.

Beautiful Course!
The course was in amazing condition in spite of the crazy summer heat! Fairways were immaculate, and if the fairways are in good shape, you know the rest of the course is in great shape!

Decent Course
Decent course for a municipal. Greens were in good shape considering our drought. Layout is a good.
Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great Find
Was in town for just a couple of days and this was close to my hotel. TX is hard baked right now and this was hard and fast, but the course was in great shape. Greens were very fast but held approach shots. Pretty challenging course from the tips, but I would definitely recommend.

irving GC has done such a great job since it was Twin Wells. Good conditions considering the tough summer we have had. Greens were very good. Highly recommend.
