About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Son and I
I 14 1/2 year-old son and I have a great time playing on this course. I recommended anybody that wants to go out and relax and have fun.

Local course dedicated to golf
The town of Irving has a invested in its local course.
Ammenities including carts, social area, pro shop is one of the best for local public courses in DFW.

Great track
I have played here over the last 4 years, course is just keeps improving. Bonus-best pulled pork sandwich in DFW for sure!

Got flooded
Greens are in great shape, but with all the rain you can hit it dead center fairway and lose your ball in water. The rain made about 10 new water hazards but i know the course will be back and probably prettier once it dries up

Fun COurse
Irving Golf is a fun course. The carts are beat up but they were getting new carts that very day! I have walked it in the past and it is a relatively easy course to walk.

Very Enjoyable Muni
Irving Golf Club has come a long way from the old Twin Wells. The front routing us unchanged, but the back is totally reversed and better.
Fairways are generous and elevated greens are in very good shape.
If you are inaccurate with your driver, you will probably lose a few balls in the rough - keep it in the fairway and it's a rewarding place to play.
I recommend the breakfast sandwich with crisp bacon, egg and cheese :)

Great Condition
Have not played this course since 2020 and it is in much better shape today. Even with drought, fairways and greens in great shape. We will be back again soon
