About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Good round-good course
This course is in good shape. Rough is tall so keep it straight. Tree lined and tall grass on edges. Good layout and good people .

Nice course & good price
Fair way & green are in perfect condition . Pace is good, 18 holes in 3:15’ for two somes. Staffs are friendly. Much better than before. Will play again. Only thing is, GPS can’t be used here!

Irving is on our regular rotation
My regular partners(retirees) and I play several of the Muni's in or near Oak Cliff. Irving is probably in the best shape (fairways, greens, pace) of all.

Great Find
On a whim, we tried the course because it was close to our office. I found it to be a great course for those golfers who normally shoot in the mid 80's-90's. It is not too tight off the fairways which allows forgiveness on the mishit, but also give the opportunity to go for it if you are hitting them well. Greens were in great shape but slow for what I am use to. Great course to work on your game and hone in your skills. In the words of the Terminator..."I'll be Back"

Great course, poor GM
Love the golf course and the staff in the 19th hole, from the person behind the counter to the chef are fantastic.. that said, the General Manager has the worst attitude of any individual I’ve ever met.. just pushed off at the world. He had no business in a customer facing environment and I cannot imagine how condescending and negative he is with ibis staff if he’s treats his customers with such disdain.. and it isn’t a one off issue.. he has this poor attitude virtually every time I’ve played the track.. to the point where I’m taking it out of rotation bc I’m not going to fund someone who treats paying clients so badly, especially as a GM,

So much improvement over the last couple of years
City of Irving has done an excellent job of turning one of the absolute worst courses in DFW, into a very enjoyable experience. This course is perfect for the majority of mid to high handicap players. A few tough ones mixed in with several holes that will build your confidence. The greens were pretty slow, but consistent.
Amenities have also drastically improved. The pro shop is well stocked and priced fairly.
All and all a day well spent!

Good Shape
Course is in good shape. Greens are still recovering from being aerated a few weeks ago but that is to expected. But overall, it is really shaping up well.
