Irving Golf Club

Played this course on a hot deal while in town on business. I looked at the Dallas area map and specifically looked for a course not surrounded by houses and this fit the bill. Loved the layout surrounded by natural grasses and wildflowers. Very scenic. Also liked the layout with the course being spread out and not having to dodge errant shots from other fairways. The fairways and greens were in good condition, but I found the greens very slow on this day. Play got a little slow after about 6 holes, probably due to cart path only following rain the night before. All in all an enjoyable experience.

Great course . Friendly staff . Greens were recently punched but rolled good. Golfpsss and reward credit made this a sweet deal , I will be back to this one for sure

Nice Course, well kept, good selection of things in pro shop. Pace of play was good. Enjoyed it and will be back.

Course was in great shape. Greens rolling true, aeration has grown in. Couple wet spots in the fairways but it’s been storming on and off, should be expected. Back nine super wide of the tees. Really score-able course for the mid handicapped who needs some forgiveness off the drive.

Overall the course is well-maintained. They charge a fair price too. Played on a Wednesday mid- morning. There were not many players. Felt like I had the whole course to myself. Not bad because I had been craving some alone time.

Course was good care of maintained and friendly staffer.

We are enjoyable rounds with friendship, who he is join at first tee box by starter.

I enjoy this golf course because it’s layout it very unique. While I wouldn’t consider this a full links type of course is very close to give you a links flavored experience. It has wide and accesible fairways that can be challenged by tall fescue and a few well placed fairway bunkers. As many areas of the course are wide open, wind can be a significant factor when playing here. Greens were aerated two weeks ago which would have been good to know before paying. The greens were still bumpy from the process and rolling very slow. In my opinion, the only big drawback from this course it’s drainage so avoid playing it after a big storm. Some areas will be flooded and some bunkers will be unplayable. I think they provide a great value for morning tee time but the twilight discount is not significant for an afternoon play. You can try better courses that offer a better discount if you are playing in the afternoon.

Have been playing IGC for the past 2-3 years after our other home course decided they no longer wanted to make golf affordable.

This place really is a hidden gem and the redo from the Old Twin Wells was well received. There are some tricky holes and longer ones that if playing into the wind are difficult but overall a great track.

Making a tee time is easy. Check in is pretty smooth and if you are regular they do remember your name which is nice. Overall pretty great customer experience inside and out.

Par 71 (36/35) and is a great layout, out and back. Some reachable Par 4's that are risk/reward and well placed swails and bunkers across multiple holes. Devilish pin placement sometimes on #2 if it is on the peninsula on the right. Aim at the middle and hope for the best. Uphill Finish par 3 on #18. Two Tiered green that if you have any backspin on the ball, it can and will run off and could end up in the gulley 30 feet below. Take an extra club on that one.

The greens were punched about a month ago and are coming in very true. Even in the winter, the greens are usually very nice. But People, please fix your ball marks. The tee box areas could use some love but overall conditions are great. Could probably stand to aerate the fairways some too.

Pricing is very comparable to muni's around the DFW metroplex. Cart service is adequate even in the cold weather months. Inside beverage and grill service has some good food. New patio outside to enjoy the great view of Skyline while watching people on the range/putting green.

Only things that could be added to make it a little better is ball washer and occasionally a shoe brush at every other hole.

FYI, you will see some wildlife on the course. Snakes, Skunks, Bobcats, Coyotes, Beaver and Nutria. If you leave em alone, they will leave you alone.

Played here a few weeks ago and it was looking good, even better now, great fairways, greens and tee boxes… best valley for money in the DFW in my opinion!

Course is in great shape and facility is nice. My only recommendation would be to put a bucket of water on holes 1 & 10 so players can wet a towel to clean their clubs..

This was my first time playing this course. Yes the greens had been aerated recently but they still putted true. Greens will hold shots. This course exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend!! I finally found a DFW course that had nice greens. Bet once they grow out they’ll be amazing!! I will definitely play here again. Range is good, and bucket prices is reasonable. You’ve got to play this course, it’s worth the road trip!! The view of Dallas on #10 tee is s awesome.

Pace of play, staff and overall concoctions were fine, but why put fresh water stands/coolers and not have water? At over 100 degrees they need to have those filled..

Many of Tee boxes if playing from the tips are in excellent shape, some could use some work but nothing you wouldn’t expect at this time of year. Greens are in excellent shape for the price also, they are fast but responsive and you can get the ball in close. Gotta love those Texas fairways as well as hard as concrete, making you feel like a tour player when you hit a good drive haha all in all great value for money, there are many course more expensive and less well kept.

Course could need a little love, fairways and tees and greens a tad spa=se which is likely to be expected due to the weather Dallas has had for a while. Super nice staff, pace of play was a little slow but not terrible. Very nice clientele.
