About
From the fairways of Irving (formerly known as Twin Wells), you can see the skyline of downtown Dallas–a nice aesthetic for this fun, user-friendly municipal. The course is mostly an open, links-style design, although a few holes that roll along the Trinity River favor a traditional-style on the back nine.
Hole 3 stands out on the front: a 437-yard dogleg left that is protected by fairway bunkers. On the back, No. 11 is the most difficult–another long par 4 at 451 yards.
Getting there : From Hwy. 183 east, take Loop 12 south and exit Shady Grove Rd. Turn left, drive a short distance to the course, look for the clubhouse on the right side of the street.

Much better than before
Course is well maintained. Fairway & green are in great condition. Staffs are friendlier. Cold water juggers and Ice box on cart really help when temperature is at 100+. Just wish to have ball washers, then this course is perfect.

7/16 Review - what’s going on with the cart barn?
Very unusual experience during checkin/getting a cart. We were directed to go out to the cart barn and speak with an “attendant wearing a red shirt” to obtain our cart. When we asked the group of guys in red shirts, the group dispersed and said they could help us inside. We went back inside only to be directed back outside. After 20 minutes of back and forth waiting for a cart, we finally went inside the pro shop and noticed the whole staff of red shirts waiting inside. At that point, we were very direct and insisted that someone help us as we had been jerked around for 20 minutes. Eventually, one of the guys in the red shirt begrudgingly walked outside and gave us a cart. It had not been cleaned and was full of trash but we didn’t care at that point. Seemed to be a lot of tension among the employees. We ended up teeing off 10/15 minutes late.
Also - the driving range was closed which was unfortunate. Course was in great shape though!

Great layout!
The fairways and greens are in great shape and I swore the cart girl(s) came by ever other hole which was nice on a hot day. It's not the course's fault but it may be adjacent to a landfill or some such as there was a constant smell coming from somewhere. I'd go back though. .

Good round-good course
This course is in good shape. Rough is tall so keep it straight. Tree lined and tall grass on edges. Good layout and good people .

Nice course & good price
Fair way & green are in perfect condition . Pace is good, 18 holes in 3:15’ for two somes. Staffs are friendly. Much better than before. Will play again. Only thing is, GPS can’t be used here!

Irving is on our regular rotation
My regular partners(retirees) and I play several of the Muni's in or near Oak Cliff. Irving is probably in the best shape (fairways, greens, pace) of all.

Great Find
On a whim, we tried the course because it was close to our office. I found it to be a great course for those golfers who normally shoot in the mid 80's-90's. It is not too tight off the fairways which allows forgiveness on the mishit, but also give the opportunity to go for it if you are hitting them well. Greens were in great shape but slow for what I am use to. Great course to work on your game and hone in your skills. In the words of the Terminator..."I'll be Back"

Great course, poor GM
Love the golf course and the staff in the 19th hole, from the person behind the counter to the chef are fantastic.. that said, the General Manager has the worst attitude of any individual I’ve ever met.. just pushed off at the world. He had no business in a customer facing environment and I cannot imagine how condescending and negative he is with ibis staff if he’s treats his customers with such disdain.. and it isn’t a one off issue.. he has this poor attitude virtually every time I’ve played the track.. to the point where I’m taking it out of rotation bc I’m not going to fund someone who treats paying clients so badly, especially as a GM,
