All around awful
Guy in the pro shop was rude, they didn’t have any golf balls to buy at the course (I like to buy at the course to help fund their business), course was in terrible condition. Overall, the worst golf outfit I’ve experienced.
Nothing good about this course
Greens were as high as fairway grass. Fairways were like roughs and tee boxes nothing to write home about.
Conditions
The course was in terrible shape! Greens were horrible and the fair was like concrete.
Way better courses near bye for a few $ more... the greens where worse than the tee boxes... not worth the money.. if it where 8-10$ it would still be overpriced
Trying to say something nice!
My mama taught me that "if I didn’t have something nice to say...then don’t say anything at all." So here’s the deal...for every nice thing I can find to say about this course I will give it 1 star.
#1 - It was a beautiful, perfect day for golf!
#2 -This round was FREE because we had a $50 coupon
#3 - A person in front of me kept losing red balls that I happen to find !!!
Wait - None of those things have anything to do with the golf course! ????
#4 - The Red Tee box had a really nice advantage!!!
#5 - This county club course is HEAVY on COUNTRY! That must’ve been why I kept losing balls that I hit straight down the fairway!!!
Overall I would rank this one of the top three golf courses!!
Top three WORST golf courses I have ever played on. My mama also taught me to tell the TRUTH!!!
It WAS a beautiful day that I got so spend with the man I LOVE and it was a CHEAP date! Guess that is WORTH 1 STAR.
oh and the ladies tee box 2 STARS
condition of course
bad cart paths, greens aeed to be reseeded, one portapotte fof the on course tolet, and only a few carts (old).
corse condition
course need a lot more attention. greens are like playing on sponge . aproch to greens are ruff. will not play again
Cart shortage
We were told to book with course to insure we got a cart. Cart paths are cra--. I will NOT return.
Did not honor price and terrible condition.
We drove from Fort Worth at last minute due to Hot Deal offer. After arriving and teeing off, we received a call informing us the course had contacted Golfnow and said they could not honor price. We were forced to pay full price for terrible course conditions: bumpy greens with crab grass, overgrown tee boxes, and bad fairways. After paying, I have yet to be reimbursed from Golfnow as club manager said was requested and would happen. Don’t waste your time nor money.
Poor Experience
We booked a tee time due to cost of Hot Deal. After arriving and beginning the round, we receive a call from the clubhouse informing us the owner had called Golf Now, complained about their offering the agreed-upon pricing, and that we would need to return and pay the full amount. Therefore, the Hot Deal price was not honored nor has Golf Now refunded to date, though the club manager said they would. Course was in poor condition, especially greens. I discourage anyone from making the drive in the Fort Worth area to have this experience.
What a waste the time And money
My wife and I went their to play golf never in my dreams would I believe that the name of a course would make you think that it was beautiful but what a let down this course had dried up cracks in the ground news I lost several balls in open ground and had to dig them out with my 3 iron and stickers on all the fairways and If you play here bring a hammer with you, you will need it to drive your tees into the ground on the tee boxes the ground is very hard. The greens what a joke there's different types of grass growing on a green and that's the ones that have it what a shame what a shame it is that I paid the money and that I did play their, my advice if this course ever comes up on golf now or any other place for a deal pass it by trust me you won't enjoy the game the only good thing about the course is it has pretty fair decent Golf carts and the layout of the course, maybe their new other than that I can't even say it Or even express, There is so many different types of weeds grown in the fairway I Can't Believe how bad it was, so sad what a waste in money if you want stickers to grow in your yard trust me walk on that course you have stickers all over your Shoes socks your slacks whatever you wear out there be sure to pick them off before you get in your car. I've played on a lot of glof course in TX and this course can not even come close to the worst of them.
Worst course ever
All of the fairways & greens had weeds, dead grass & stickers. The ground had big earth cracks in it.
Worst golf course ever
Worst golf course we ever golfed on. Weeds, dead grass & stickers on all the fairways & greens. It was like playing in a pasture. Paid $40 per person & I will never book another game through golf now with checking reviews.
Spaghetti Western. Good. Bad. Ugly.
Mountain Valley is under new Mgmt. The Good - its a nice short course layout. It has interesting holes nestled netween homes and trees. It would play difficult from the back tees. The staff is friendly and courteous. The Bad - it needs players to play the course in less than optimal conditions. The Ugly - the greens and fairways need a lot of work. It isnt possible to putt these greens in their current condition. The fairways have...some...grass.
Play the course as it lies. From the back it will be a challenge. Plus, the course needs to generate dollars for updated maintenance.
Needs a lot of tlc
Oh my God where to start... holes 9 and 18 were the only half decent of the whole place...
Needs lots of water and fertilizer tee boxes were healed as rock
Fairways had lots of crav grass to change ball direction. Greens had so many patches of st Augustine intermixed your ball bounced and skipped every which way except where you tried to put the all...
Country Quiet
The course is in need of some work, especially the greens. The greens are below substandard shape, weeds have taken over. Making short putts are even difficult as it hard to read the (Bumps). As far as the course layout, I liked it. Lots of challenging holes, at least for me. Long par 3's. Golf carts are brand new. The Manager was extremely friendly and helpful. As it was our first time to play the course, he took the time to review the course layout with us and that I appreciated.
I will go back as I know the greens will get better. Overall, I had a great experience.
Returning player
Course is shaping up nicely, new owner is making nice improvements
Stay Clear
Staff was friendly but that’s where this story ends. Tee boxes over grown. Greens look like lawns, and god forbid you get close to someone’s backyard. There are other options. Don’t play here unless you want to be disappointed.
