About
Carlton Gipson designed the Golf Club At Cinco Ranch in the early 1990s. It's a long golf course that features an ocean of water impacting play on 16 of 18 holes. For the most part, the holes are straight and open, with minimal trees framing the paths to the greens. The greens are unique because of the unusually shaped bunkers that create very different short game challenges from what one normally finds. One of the best holes is no. 4, a 557-yard par 5 that features an approach shot over water into an elevated green. In addition to the water, the green is fronted by a bunker that is at least 10 feet below the hole. This requires a phenomenal, blind bunker shot for an up-and-down.

Cinco Ranch
Booked a Hot deal great course no hold ups whole round course in great condition
Will play here again for sure
Good condition
T time was at 1:30 but they got me in 12:45 that was ok with me. Condition has been improving since the last time I played. Not as wet that made it play better. No complaint here.
I'll be back!!
Played in the afternoon noon greens were bumpy due to other players not fixing the ball marks / divits I fixed alot while I played. I wish everyone would do the same. Great day!!
Place to score well
Greens in good condition, good place to make a fair score. No many places to get in trouble. Open fairways. Bunkers in good condition.
No place like home course
This is my home course, and it never disappoints. The layout, greens and fairway are all well maintained. The fluffy sand was a surprise considering it has been pretty wet weather around here lately.
And an insider secret, the burgers are as good as Smash and 5 Gs.
Still Nice
Hadn’t played here in a couple of years mainly due to price. Found a great HotDeal and was glad to see the course is still what it was. Fun layout and some memorable holes like 9 and18.
Great weather
great weather which allowed many players to come out thus slowing the pace of play. We were unable to finish the round due to darkness.
Good Layout
The weather was cool and windy which changed normal club selection. The grass is going into dormancy and the rye hasn't taken been laid down. Great pace got in 18 holes with a 1:30 start.
Friendly staff and golf cart attendant
The weather is nice, the golf attendant is super friendly, and offer me to go ahead my tee time as I played single. Course condition is good, fairway is clean, but the green is a bit dry and hard at first, and 8th hole if I remember correctly. Overall I really enjoy my game today. Big thank you to the staffs and especially the golf attendant who is super nice and have a nice smile!
Excellent layout
Latout and conditions are great but someone needs to manage pace better as its always too slow
A little bit too wet
Course is in great shape, just wet due to previous rain on the area.
Course conditions
The course is in excellent conditions, and the greens roll true.
Great neighborhood course
This course has everything a great Houston suburban course can offer. It is relatively more expensive than the courses on the east side of Houston, but it is in nice neighborhood so it is understandable. Most interesting is probably hole 11 which needs smart shot from tee box with a long iron to avoid ball rolling downhill right to the pond. I would suggest to put the scorecard and some description of holes on the webpage.
