About
Located in the town of Kingsland on the shores of Lake LBJ, Lighthouse Country Club features 18 holes set in a charming, hill country in the heart of the Highland Lakes. The course was originally built in 1968, winds through scenic Hill Country property full of oak trees and red granite rock outcroppings. From many points, Packsaddle Mountain, one of the Hill Country's highest points, is in view from many spots on the course.
Lighthouse was formerly named Packsaddle Golf Club until the name changed in the fall of 2011 when new owners Rick & Mercy Howe purchased the bankrupt property and revitalized the golf course. Part of the enhancement was the construction of a brand new lighthouse at the clubhouse. In addition on on-course enhancements, Lighthouse constructed a handful of two-bedroom condos for stay-and-play packages and longer term winter homes.
In addition to the golf course, the facility also features a driving range, short game area and a full restaurant, bar and banquet facility.

Great Course Conditions!
Great course! We have always loved it! Just disappointed that they changed 18 from a par four to a par three. I’m not sure if they did that for housing or what?

Fun day
The course overall was in nice shape. A couple greens had some rough patches which was surprising to see as all the other times I’ve played here the greens are normally really good. Mainly the green on the 15th hole was bad but the rest were fine. Fairways were in beautiful shape and the course is fun to play.

Lighthouse, a beacon in the hill country
Course is in great shape! Layout offers a little bit of everything for a skill levels. And a camping trailer park for the perfect golf/fishing get away.

I have never lived in the Kingsland area but I have been playing this course since 1976. It was OK before the course was redesigned several years ago and now it is magnificent.

Good course
Good course. Staff can be little more friendly and flexible. They want there cart back at 7:30 even tho there was plenty of daylight for hours and half more. We have been stop by staff at hole14 and return cart. Not fair. !!

Think your way around
Lots of interesting holes. Not always a driver/wedge. Many option on how to play the holes. Small, sloping, protected greens.

My favorite bargain hill country course
Lighthouse is in great condition overall, other than a few greens that are still recovering from the freeze. Plenty of character and challenge. And awesome prices, even on a holiday weekend
