About
Ron Garl came to Lancaster, Texas in 1989 to build Country View G.C., a truly unique course. No. 7 is the most difficult hole -- a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for no. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of Country View's tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

True Greens
Overall, Country View is a fun course. Most, if not all of the greens, are elevated and true. Approach shots have to be on target, or you will roll off into trouble. Dormant conditions make for harder shots that are off the fairway. New golf carts are an added bonus for the value. Driving range could use better hitting surface and golf balls!
Greens are in great shape.
The course is really well maintained. New carts are awesome. Staff are friendly and on top of things.

Fun course!
I really enjoy this course! Lots of fun and very pretty!
Hole 10 tends to eat my lunch but that’s just me.
My three friends I play with do well.
The driving range could use some work but overall great course and great staff!
Great, Fun Course
We tried this place for the first time because of the recent reviews. We found the greens to be the best in the DFW area. Extremely true, although none of putted that well.
We will be back in the Spring to see what it looks like with green grass and leaves on the trees! Or we may be back sooner.
Plus, the folks there are the best. Give it a try. I bet you won't be disappointed.

Long Drives
Overall good course conditions. Fairways a bit dry so Long Drives were a plus.

Terrible Staff
The management for this course is so power hungry we were stuck behind a slow playing duo which was fine and we let a single join our foursome so he wouldn't have to wait even longer and the management threatened to kick us out, stating we were breaking the rules by playing 5 but we were just trying to help the pace of play overall. We spoke with the group behind us after we let the single play through and had to wait for him to at least reach the green to make this power hungry super happy. They stated that they have seen him do that every weekend for a variety of different things that many courses let slide because we are all there to have fun playing the game. Would not recommend this course to anyone!
