About
Ron Garl came to Lancaster, Texas in 1989 to build Country View G.C., a truly unique course. No. 7 is the most difficult hole -- a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for no. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of Country View's tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

always worth the price of admission!!!!
absolutely my home course...that being said Johnathan and the guys are running a smooth running sleek ship!!!
The greens are smoking fast(taking into consideration the needed occasional airing of the greens) So I don't complain because the end product is absolutely worth it...course is in great shape and some spotted shade and breeze makes Texas days bearable !!! Always cold fresh water in the coolers too !!

Great course!
Course is real fun, a solid challenge with elevated greens and loads of times you’ll need to use an iron or fairway wood off the tee. The rough is like concrete so drives go super far if you’re in or out of the fairway. But hey that’s Texas!

Great staff and course
This course in my opinion is one of the overall best in the metroplex the course is a good conditions.The staff from the cart boys all the way up to the GM the Marshalls everybody's just awesome people. Always enjoy

Great course
Lots of different challenges. Creeks, narrow fairways, dog legs on course.
Don’t have to worry about hitting anyones house on this course.
Greens in good shape.

It’s a challenge
This course is more challenging than you would expect. The greens are usually pretty nice, but they had just aerated which was not fun. Water on 17 is brutal, cart girl is nice, it’s worth a play!

Top DFW staff and course
Me and the family play here a lot we also play in tournaments on a monthly basis. Jonathan is amazing GM and the staff is so friendly the golf course is in the top upper echelon of the DFW metroplex. Keep up the good work guys and we'll keep bringing in the players. Awesome course

There Are Some Tough Holes
While I rated Country View as moderate in difficulty, there are a few difficult holes - #2 for example. Better be VERY ACCURATE with first shot off the tee, or you get to pitch back into fairway to line up shot through the slot in the trees. #8 can be tough if you don't hit first shot far enough to make the 90* turn.
On the back, 12 is narrow. 17 is a very difficult shot into the elevated green with a long iron - not so bad if you lay up and come in with a 9 or PW.

Prepare lots of beat-up balls and GPS.
Need to practice iron and wedge shots because of very small greens with altitude and much of water hazards. I would like to recommend this course only to above intermediate level. No GPS on golf carts.
