About
Ron Garl came to Lancaster, Texas in 1989 to build Country View G.C., a truly unique course. No. 7 is the most difficult hole -- a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for no. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of Country View's tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

Great Course
Played 9 holes. Enjoyed the course as a beginner golfer. A couple of lakes and undulating terrain. Our tee time was delayed a bit due to cart unavailability but otherwise, everything else was great!

Hilltop Greens
Since this course was built in a floodplain all the tees and greens are on top of mounds. Landing a ball on the green and having it stay on the green can be difficult here.

2/21/22 Country View review
Difficult course because if elevated greens and windy day In February. Overall loved it. Greens were great. Will play again when in full bloom. Demanding in the areas of accuracy and around the greens. Fun times

Great course overall. On this particular day there was a freeze delay which pushed my groups tee time back roughly an hour. Not the courses fault. Staff is always friendly. Course in good shape. Would definitely recommend

Elevated greens very fast but true. Tough little course. Cart died on hole 12. Replacement cat on green hole 13.

Place to work on your game
Weather was perfect and minor traffic for the day. I am trying to understand the comment on 10/17/2021 regarding calling the police on a patron. CV where is your response? For another that was allegedly harassed by a marshal, I seldom see a marshal - maybe a starter and one on-course person once in a blue moon. I do like to get my work/practice in here because it is not crowded during the week. This is a target golf course with elevated crown green and plenty of undulation to get your attention. The grass is dormant and the greens are fast. Will also agree with another review regarding the are around the holes. Patron need to pick up their feed when on the green as there was an abundance of scuff marks around the holes. Also golf carts are driven on the first cut off the green as patrons are too lazy to walk up to the elevated greens and some tee boxes and I am not talking about the handicapped! There are plenty of rope barriers but not nearly enough to deter these patrons. Again no marshals. My next review I will load images.

Ball eating design
Despite not having a single sand trap this is a tough course.. it’s design requires good shot control. There’s enough water, thick woods, narrow chutes, and tight landing areas for even < bogey golfers to lose a few balls. With that said I love it and have played my last 5 rounds there.
