About
Ron Garl came to Lancaster, Texas in 1989 to build Country View G.C., a truly unique course. No. 7 is the most difficult hole -- a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for no. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of Country View's tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

Okay
Not well manicured, hasn’t been mowed around greens and the fairways weren’t great which surprised me with all the rain we’ve had recently. I’d be willing to give it another try overall a pretty cool course.

Love this challenging course
Best I know of as far as overall everything for your money...greens fantastic...fairways good rain had Cart path only but really green grass a plus...if you haven’t played this course fo yourself a favor and play here...bet you can’t play just one time!

Greens were in great condition
I have been reading reviews of several metroplex courses and there is a lot of mention greens being lost due to the winter storm.
Certainly not the case here. The greens were in great condition as were the fairways. There were some weed issues in the rough but not terrible.
Will definitely play here again.
Probably got lucky because of the sketchy weather forecast, but played as a single in 2.5 hours. On a Saturday. Teed off at 12:15 and finished at 2:45.

It is what it is
Tee boxes are crap. Fairways are hard pan. Need water. 5 hour round because of the group two groups in front of us. Greens are pretty good.

Good Course
Consistent beverage cart service and a bit better maintenance of tee boxes is needed, but overall, this course offers a pleasant golfing experience. Very good price point. Will play here again.

Awesome Course
The course was beautiful! It was a great time, the greens were fast and in great shape. From the whites, the course played very short, with some very drivable par 4s and par 3s that make your eyes really big. My favorite thing about the course was the starter. He was extremely friendly and gave us some good tips on how to approach challenging holes.

Overall favorite course!!!
Been playing here for awhile now 15yrs or so...
new ownership recently...looking great with all the recent rain...challenging elevated greens...love this course only complaint is water and need ball washers...and go around and put fresh soapy water in them for Petes sake!!!pull some weeds too guys...will definitely play here many times to come!!!

Battle with the greens
this course is an elevated course because it is in a flood plan. You haft to be good at getting up on the greens or you roll off to GOD nows where.. The courseand layout was fun just hitting the greens is the trick to putting up a good number.

Better Maintenance
There are very few ball washers and none of them had soap or water in them. people were allowed to start on the back 9 slowing things up Weed clups around greens need to sparayed and killed
