About
Ron Garl came to Lancaster, Texas in 1989 to build Country View G.C., a truly unique course. No. 7 is the most difficult hole -- a long dogleg right with water in play off the tee and in the fairway. Also, get ready for no. 15, a unique par 3 that features a green completely surrounded by huge trees. Most of Country View's tee boxes are elevated and there is water in on over half of the holes.

Terrible experience all around
When booking the tee time I was told that the course rates would be lower because the greens were aerated, upon arrival this changed and we had to pay the full rate. The green were in rough shape and the ball was bouncing with almost every putt. We were told there was a cart girl but we only saw her on hole 17 of 18 and it was a 95 degree day out. We decided to get food in the clubhouse which was a big mistake, after waiting 40 minutes to get my food (after my friends had already finished theirs) I found a nail in my food. Thankfully I did not bite into it but I had to go and ask for a refund and even that took some asking.

Nice little course
This is a nice little course, very friendly staff however they did charge more for a rider than I paid to play. $25 is alittle high for just a rider.

LOVE THIS COURSE !!!!
Ok! I have reviewed several times and honestly played here for years...super challenging still! Cant get over the elevated greens and tee boxes. Truly a gem! been to several other courses and I keep coming back here... For
me: the money, the skill level required to hit these greens, the staff, the speed and shape of green and fairways, and the burger; I challenge you to find a better deal. (don't think you can)

Fun Course - Nice People
This was the 3rd time to play Country View and I like this course. Even from the tips it is only about 6,400 yards but it has a good bit of water, doglegs, and other challenges that will keep you on your toes. It is not the nicest clubhouse or anything fancy but they are genuinely nice people. The 19th hole burger is delicious and the beer is cold! I like this course because it makes you think about your tee shot. You can't just hit a driver on every par 4 and 5 on this course. The greens were in good shape too. Would definitely recommend playing this course and it is a bit easier to get a desirable tee time because it is a little tougher to get to.

Most if the greens are raised making this course quite different from everything else in the metroplex.
