Crystal Falls Golf Course

Though not a long course, the layout is challenging. Not a lot of level lies and tee ball placement is important. Pin placement was also challenging. Would definitely recommend this course.

This course was the second of our 3 course golf trip weekend. Prior to going to Austin, I booked our round through the pro shop. Heather was awesome in getting my group set up for our Saturday round.

The course itself is breath taking with the elevation changes. Two of the par it felt like you were hitting off a cliff to the green below. The entire course had great character, the only reason I didn’t give this course a 5 rating is due to the conditions of the fairways. There were a lot of patchy areas and tight lies.

Pace of play at mid morning wasn’t bad. We actually finished in a little over 4 hours. I would love playing here again once the fairways grow in better.

Just go play here. It’s awesome but you should bring an extra ball or two lol

Have played here several times and the greens were in the worst shape ever. Overall, course is in pretty good shape, but the greens need some work.

This course plays pretty tight with some beautiful tee shots. Notably the par 3 cliffs on #2 and #11 are like nothing else you'll play in Austin that I'm aware of. With all the recent rain the course was lush -- but the fairways were a bit weedy and long. A few of the greens were suffering from massive fungal patches as well but for the most part they play true. With the outrageous price of some of the public courses in Austin, a fifty dollar round here is well worth the money

Course was great, although had been affected by recent heavy rains. Would definitely play again when I come through Texas!

Awesome hill country course with some crazy holes. Greens are hit or miss right now, about half the holes have some rough spots on them rn

The course layout is great and the staff is always very courteous. The pace of play is solid and consistent, which makes for an enjoyable round. However, the greens are not in great condition—more are in poor shape than in good, and several require significant attention and maintenance. That said, it's understandable given the ongoing drought conditions this area has faced in recent years. Despite this, the course remains a fun and enjoyable place to play.

Green Conditions are Abysmal Nearly all of 2025.

Continuously attempting to remedy the condition of the greens from seeding to adding sand … the grass roots are still fragile.

Other courses in the area have significantly better greens.
