About
While it hasn't received as much publicity as the other Hill Country tracks since it opened around 1990, Crystal Falls Golf Club is definitely worthy of praise. Highlighted by one of the greatest par 3s in Texas and some outstanding topography, this is one of those courses you'll want to play at least once, if only for the views. In addition to the scenery, the main thing everyone talks about here is the severely sloping fairways that provide problems for those who hit the ball left-to-right. The famous par 3 in question is the 192-yard 11th, featuring a phenomenal view and a 200-yard drop to the green. Club selection is a crap-shoot at best, and the green is surrounded by mounds.

Could use improvement
While this course was fun to play, There was an hour delay on the tee times due to a shortage of carts. Greens played nice, tee boxes were a little rough, and overall fairways were pretty decent. The hour delay on the tee time was, to me, a big enough problem, as well as the lack of the beverage cart. Now, I can play without drinking, or just wait until I’m about to tee off on the back 9. But on a hot day, nothing is more refreshing then a cold beer. The only time I saw the beverage cart was on hole 4, and didn’t see them at all the rest the day. Now this might not be an issue for some, but I feel like it is worth notating. Overall I would still play this course again as I enjoyed the difficulty and the layout.

Under the hot windy conditions it’s as good as you can expect. Props to the greens keeper for getting the greens punched and a full recovery. Really love the pro shop people & snack bar as well.

Great Course!
First time out there and had to get an early morning tee time to beat the heat but other than that, had a wonderful experience. Course and greens were in great shape and the scenery was great.

Highly recommend
Great layout. Very challenging with some narrow fairways and changes of elevation. Course was in great shape considering water restrictions except for the greens had just been plugged. Look forward to playing again when they're healed. A bonus was the service levels with the cart attendant meeting me at my car and the starter making sure I was paired with an enjoyable game. A+ for everyone!

Good course for the price
The course was under maintenance during my round, the greens had just been aerated. The driving range was also under maintenance so I wasn’t able to really warm up prior to my round. But with that said course conditions were pretty good considering the weather and the heat. The staff definitely met every expectation possible. The food/drink is a touch expensive. The course it’s self is a little difficult but definitely an interesting and fun layout. Give this course a month from the day of this review And the greens will probably be rolling very good. Will definitely be playing again

Great course
Was the first time here. Unfortunately, half of the course was on maintenance could enjoy the entire course. But the course was good and well maintained. Was quite crowded due to the course maintenance.

Hard as a rock tee boxes
Needed a hammer to place the tees the ground was so hard. Fairways have a lot of weeds in them and it doesn't appear they water them much. I am aware we are in a drought but....just saying that I should be able to tee up my ball on the tee boxes.
