Crystal Falls Golf Course

My buddy and I are single digit handicaps and I was once a caddie. Food at the course was awesome Gino makes some good food.

Staff was rude and could tell they have zero respect for younger golfers and one of the members we were grouped with was one of the most inconsiderate people I have ever played with. His name is Wayne. Laughed at us if we hit a bad shots, didn’t repair any divots, and walked through all of our putting lines on every hole. Zero respect for the course or his fellow golfers. I was shocked he was a member.

Course is very tough but absolutely unique and gorgeous. Would definitely play again but the staff and members make you want to never come back again.

I rarely post reviews but how we were treated as guys who both shot in the 70s that day was absolutely unacceptable.

We really did not like this course. It's not in very good condition which has nothing to do with it being February. There a lot of other courses in the area that are much better for a similar value. Also, if you want a bite to eat before you play or after 9, I wouldn't advise it. They have a restaurant there that is trying to be fine dining (Gino's). Food preparation takes a long time and forget about getting a simple hot dog or turkey sandwich. It's very strange they don't have a typical snack bar like most courses. I will say everybody is very nice there, it's too bad the course didn't hold up it's end of the deal.

This course is a lot of fun if looking for something different. Fun collection of par 3s with 2 of them with huge elevation drops. There are a couple tricked up par 5s which you can’t see what’s ahead but there is a basic gps provided on the carts that tells you the yardage to a safe landing area. It’s overall a fun course to play.

This course is challenging.

At check-in, the staff members are very friendly, but be ready to pay a course fee upon arrival no matter if you paid in full online through GolfNow. This fee is in addition to the green fee and convenience fee you pay GolfNow.

The range is decent but small, maybe eight to ten players can squeeze in at one time. There are other areas to get warmed up on your chipping, putting, and bunker shots.

The layout is very tight with trouble everywhere. The carts have a feature that gives the player suggestions and distances to play it safe. You will get lots of roll out and your ball will likely end up rolling off the fairway on several holes. There are rocky areas as well, lots.

Distance isn't a factor on this course. Be strategic and very accurate. There are lots of hills, rocks are just off the fairways. Bring an accurate swing when playing Crystal Falls because it will challenge your skills.

I have played this course 3 times and each time I have enjoyed myself. The winter conditions are good and the greens are true and good speed . Would rate this course on the more challenging level but it is a lot of fun. The 18 th hole for me has been a bear and cost me a few good rounds maybe next time

I've played this course several times over the last 5 years or so. Always in pretty decent shape and greens are usually good as well. This is a very hilly course and the greens are VERY undulating. You better know where the pin is and put your approach in the right place or a 3 putt is a very REAL probability. Staff is always friendly and prices are reasonable. Newer golf carts with built in GPS. #9 is me nemesis and a particularly hard hole. Plenty of birdies available if you you're playing well. The fairways have LOTS of slope and you'd better know where you need to land the ball to keep it in play. I really like this course. Kudos Crystal Falls.

Pace was horrible, called to complain and they said marshals are on the course to help which they didn't. I saw the marshal and he was too busy hunting for golf balls in the woods.

Fairways were rock hard and hardly any grass. It would be nice if golf courses actually put some money back into the course and put down rye for the winter. They are making all this money from everyone golfing now due to pandemic but you never see it go back into the course.

Only good part about the course was the greens were in good shape but this course is not worth going back for just that.

Everything was in excellent condition. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens. No issues that I could fault the course for.

Have played here before but I think this is the best shape the course has ever been when I have played.

Green were smooth and most fairways were in great shape. A few low areas still were wet, so some drainage issue perhaps, but certainly a great value IMO.
