About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Skeptical but was happy
I read plenty of reviews talking about pace of play. Went on a Saturday and pace was not an issue. Tee time around noon. The course is wide open, making it great for finding your ball. Didn’t like the fact that we saw staff members dumping people‘s beers out right in front of us. Understand there are rules, but seemed pretty low. Staff looked very sloppy and unfriendly on the course with rear ends half exposed and unprofessional looking. The exception would be the starter who was great.

Clean the restroom. Pace of play was slow again. I’ve played here dozens of times and it’s consistently the same.

Price a joke
Not bad but price point is a joke. This is a $30 course and you used to be able to play for that. Im done going here

Stay in the fairway
Good course but two things. Stay in the fairway and greens are FAST. Enjoyed the round, I’ll go back again even though it’s a 40 minute drive.

A nice small town course
It’s located in a city park next to the Lewisville lake dam. The course is basically flat with man made hills lining the sides of the fairways to keep the ball in the fairway. The layout is very crowded and makes it easy to walk. That is why the mounds lining the fairways are necessary. It’s a shorter course than average (6,100 yards from tips) with par 70. I drove 20 minutes to get from home to course and it was worth it. They have a good driving range and convenient parking area.

Unsafe golf course
This golf course is unsafe. The tee boxes and fairways and greens are all too close together. Furthermore, last time I played there, the group behind us kept hitting into us, and then after the round they tried to start a fight with us in the parking lot. I notified the staff, and they have not responded to my message/concerns.

Slow pace with many beginners
Staff was great and so was starter.
Lots of beginners with no trees and wide open fairways makes it dangerous. I was hit once but OK however it’s not a good layout!

Hot dog review
The hot dogs were 8 dollars and 3 more dollars to have it “loaded”. Crazy expensive for what it is. The layout is extremely beginner oriented and has almost all beginners there so there will be a wait between holes

Good course for older players
The course is not long and there aren’t too many bunkers or water. I enjoy playing there because the conditions are decent and you won’t be losing many balls when playing bad.

Great for beginners and those that haven’t played in a while.
This course has produced my best rounds, greens can be a little challenging and sometimes in rough shape. Overall the course layout is very forgiving and fun. Pace of play can be a little bit of a burden, the starter was only staggering groups 3 minutes apart. Dogs at the turn were good, beer was cold but the tender needs help on how to pour a draft beer in a mug.
