About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

If You Can't Get On Anywhere Else
Almost every hole is straight and flat. There are a few holes with water or a moderate dogleg. Given it was a summer day before Independence Day, the course was crowded and pace of play was slow.
The greens were either barren in spots or allowed to grow out, making putting a guessing game on each hole.
There was no drink cart making the rounds and there were no clubhouse amenities of note. It's clear that the men's restroom had not been cleaned in some time based upon the smell and that have not kept up with routine maintenance.

Overall, the course was green and in good condition. However, it was they had the slowest greens. I had ever played need to speed up the greens, very furry.

Nice wide open course
This place is great for beginner and amateur golfers. Due to the fact it does not have very many trees and only one or two holes maybe have sand the rest of it’s just fairway so a great place to come and play golf.

Good course for the cost.
The course is in pretty good shape considering the amount of traffic. You cannot beat the price to play here. The staff does an excellent job!

This was my last time at lake park..
When we arrived an hour before and checked in we were told to come back 15 min prior to TT for cart key, cool no worries. Came back got 1 of 2 carts and told to wait for the next cart. Got the other cart 2 min after TT and pulled up to hole 1 just wait on 2 groups to tee off.. I get it’s lake park and a place for beginners, but this course people have no Golf etiquette. They will drive in the middle of your fairway to hit their ball off your fairway and look at you crazy while doing so. Be prepared for a 5 hour round.

Confidence Course
Are you struggling with your swing? Need a little boost to remember why you love golf? This is the course for you. It's not a beautiful golf course but it's WIDE open and you can swing confidently that you probably won't lose your ball because it's in the fairway. Just not your fairway.

Decent
You get what you pay for! Greens were hard and grass was tall for them. Fairways were hard as a rock and rough was full of weeds. It is wide open so it makes it easier to play

Issues
Its too crowded, fairways are too close; pace is too slow because of over crowding; also most witness a fight because of the slow pace. I'm not coming back!

Solid value
For a low rate, this is one of the top values in DFW. Course had some patchy spots but not to bad. Greens were well hydrated but very slow, probably could use a cut. This course has many golfers who walk bc of the course layout being pretty straight forwards.

Cheap chaos in a compact course
Look elsewhere if you like trees, framed tee shots, or challenging courses. Standing on the first tee box, you can see almost the entire course, which is comforting as a golfer who is just as surprised as my playing partners where my ball will end up and terrifying for the same reason. Expect to get hit in to, have balls played the wrong way on your fairway, and have random balls everywhere.
It's a great mid-week tune-up course and an even better course if you want to enjoy the experience with a group of casual golfers. Do not come seeking a challenge or for country club conditions, and you won't be let down.
