About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Another disappointing day
I have not played this course since September. I was hoping for some badly needed improvement on this course. The tee boxes were barley had any grass. I never seen any maintenance crew on this course. I will not recommend this course until we see some major improvements.

Pace of Play Problem
It’s very irritating waiting 10-15 minutes to tee off between holes… especially when trying to get a round in when it’s cold out. Would really benefit from a marshall or spacing out tee times more understanding that a lot of beginner golfers play here and it’s harder for them to play at pace that’s desired.

Easy but fun course at a great value
Lakepark is not a difficult course. It is wide open with limited hazards. It is a great value and fun course to play.
The greens were a bit slower than I have ever seen them on this visit, but the condition of the greens and the fairways was great.

Wide open
Except for a couple of ponds, there aren't many areas that will cost you an errant ball. It's a flat, open course. The down side to that is cross traffic from adjoining holes. Heads up!
Middle of November; fairways were above average. Tee boxes ok. Greens were firm but putted very true.
Waited on every hole, but strangely, still finished in under 4 hours.
Staff: top-notch.
Price: fair.

Cheap and easy to get on
This is my go to course. Play here once a week at least. Pace of play is good most days. The course has been looking great as of recently as well.
