About
Lake Park Golf Club is located below the Lake Lewisville dam, and was originally known as Oak Ridge Park. Make sure you warm up before your round, because no. 1 goes 465 yards with water in play off the tee. The next notable hole is no. 8, which offers a nice risk-reward situation with two small ponds protecting the green 312 yards away. With the wind, it is definitely driveable. On Lake Park Golf Club's back nine, no. 10 gives you the option to carry the lake with a 230-yard-plus drive, or lay up and leave yourself with a long approach over the water.

Lake park 18
Pace of play was awful. Took 5 hours to play 18 holes of golf. The fact that they let so many people on the course at a given time makes it unplayable. Beginners course, impossible to hit it OB.
Ok course, way too crowded
Tee times are to close to each other. We basically the whole day waiting on the course. Very close fairways lead to a lot of cross play from others. No recommendation to play on the weekend.
Open and inviting course.
Great course in overall good condition, especially with the extreme temps during summer. We had a good weather day with regards to wind, as the course is pretty open and wind can be a major factor. However would recommend for all golfers. Pace of play was excellent.
Parkland course
Simple park style course little to no tree cover and direct sun was a bit much. Course was slow rate if play 5 1/2 hours due to booking and slow players but that’s normal at muni courses I have found. Staff was great. I would do it again.

Lake Park 18
The weather was nice. The fairways were in fairly good condition after suffering a dreadfully hot summer here in Texas. The pace of play was quite good as well, a little patience required at times.
You can't get into much trouble on this course. You won't experience much tree of water trouble unless you really go astray.
All in all, it was an enjoyable round. I would recommend it for the price point, as well as proper length for beginning & intermediate golfers.

Great fun, wide open course
This course is great fun. Layout is forgiving, reminds me of the military courses out in San Diego. Fairways and greens in good condition in spite of the long hot summer. Definitely recommend playing.

So poorly maintained
Looks like the grounds haven’t been watered in ages. Everyone is on your fairway at the same time, and too many drunk people holding up pace of play and no Marshall on the course on a Saturday? Just silly. It’s mostly dirt out there with bad greens, and the fairways all have deep cracks in the ground

Easy Course
Decent course for he money. Wide open with no real hazards in play. The greens are in good shape but roiled slow during this round. Enjoyable stress free round where you may shoot a personal best. The only negative is because the course is easy a lot of beginners play there impacting pace of play. I’ve never seen a marshal on the course so be patient as it may take a while to get the round in.

Fun course
Although it is not a difficult course to play it is quite fun. There are not many hazards and the Texas heat has hurt the fairways where there are numerous brown patches, but it's that time of year. Definitely recommend playing it. Well kept.

This course is always in great shape, you will never be disappointed the greens roll great and the fairways are always green and plush even during an August drought
