Canyon at Meadowbrook Golf Complex, The
About
The Canyon Course is the original layout at Meadowbrook G.C., with wide-open fairways and hardly any hazards. Designed more for the average golfer, the Canyon features less water than the Creek Course, but more bunkers. Warm up before you tee off on Canyon because you'll need to be loose to reach the 585-yard first hole in regulation.

Pleasant Suprise
Scored a Hot Deal on Golf Now for this course and my group and I had a very good time. The course was rough in spots but all in all a decent course.
Great course for price.
The only thing that bother me was we got behind six players and they did let us play through.
Great features
Very fun course. Lot of terrain changes and a lot of trees. Tee boxes were well groomed and greens were in very good condition.
What fairway?
Course seemed sub par. Fairways were completely dead, could not tell the difference between fairway and rough. All the ball cleaners were completely dry (no water to clean your balls with) Greens do not seem to be kept up with. Found this course as I was visiting for 2 days at a price of 15$. I guess you can say this is what made it an even trade. I was not familiar with the area and would have paid a bit more for a higher end course. Reading previous reviews is what had my attention.
Creek
First time on course and staff and other patrons friendly and helpful. Course in good shape for season.
Best these greens have ever been....
The rain this summer has really benefited the Meadowbrook courses. The greens were fantastic for this course, and the tees and fairways were pretty good too. I have a few thoughts; every teebox should have a hole marker sign, a ball washer, and a trash can. There were beer cans on nearly every hole from the groups in front of me, as well as various other trash. Not saying that these jack-wagons would use them, but it would give me a place to put THEIR trash. The market signs would be nice for those that have never played to have an idea of where to go from the tee box. The 4x4 post that says "4 Par 5" really isn't much info is it? That aside, after a 5-some finally let me play through after 3 holes of agonizingly slow play, I had a very enjoyable round. Never saw the beverage cart though....
Great value for the money
Had a great time, really enjoyed the course,
will be back.
Creek review
Greens we pretty bad. Full of sand and super slow. Balls didn't roll smoothly, bounced a lot. The course seems to have gone downhill since earlier in the year.
fun course
Enjoyed the course tree lined lot's of water. Greens a little slow hard par 3s had three birdies though. For never playing it had a good time. Trees can block you out on second shots
Need to drive it straight here. Can be quite a challenge from the blues which is from where I played.
Challenging Course, small greens
First time to play this course. Over all the course was in pretty good shape. The greens are small and there were a couple in pretty bad shape, one almost not putt-able at all. Prairie dogs have almost taken over around the green on hole number 2. They really need to do something about them. The carts are gas and ours seemed quite loud, but other then that we enjoyed the course. Lots of dog legs, made it difficult, but still a good round.
Golf
It was a good day for golf Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Nope
In terrible shape. Best rain the areas had in a decade and there are dead spots. Where there is grass, it's concrete hard and sparse at best. You will not have a good lie in any place besides on the green, and that's no guarantee.
Value
Overall this course is a good value. Fairways need allot of work but for what I paid, no legitimate complains. Staff is very courteous.
For early spring, not too shabby.
Enjoyed the round. Score stunk but better than working.
Canyon course was in pretty good shape for early April. We had a twosome and never had anyone pushing us from behind nor were we waiting on those in front of us.
Always good to play this course. Great value for the money.
I will be back!
Winter Rules
The course was in very rough condition. Greens were pretty good. I won't play it again until it warms up and they get some water on it. Was glad I only paid the $10 hot deal price. On another note I found it strange that the club would have the other course closed to sand greens during spring break!
Not too bad
This course has a lot of potential if it was taken care of a little better. I've seen it in good shape and bad shape, right now it's not great.
Nice layout in good shape for this time of year
Greens are real good shape putting green
Best condition in few years staff friendly
Golf carts , nice & clean
Not too much trouble
Check GolfNow.com when making tee time, I scored 18 holes with cart for $18! Pretty wide open and not too much trouble you can get into. Fairways and greens are in pretty decent shape on the Creek side. Never play the Canyon side so I can't speak to that side. Recently had some snow and there was a "cart only" rule in effect that was annoying but understandable from the wet grounds. Fun little course with greens that will bite you with a 3 putt if you are off your putting game.
