Canyon at Meadowbrook Golf Complex, The
About
The Canyon Course is the original layout at Meadowbrook G.C., with wide-open fairways and hardly any hazards. Designed more for the average golfer, the Canyon features less water than the Creek Course, but more bunkers. Warm up before you tee off on Canyon because you'll need to be loose to reach the 585-yard first hole in regulation.

Meadowbrook of Lubbock
Enjoyed my round. The fairways are dry. The greens are in decent shape. Trees are mature and full.
Great golf
Always a fun course to play, creek always seems to challenge me canyon always makes me feel like I might actually know which end of the club to use
The fairways are terrible
The staff was very friendly and they were very well prepared for getting us off at our Tee time. the greens where in very good shape. That is the good news. the fairways where terrible. On some of hte fiarways they had whote rocks on them, which makes it very hard to see a white ball. Was it worth what I paid for it. No!!! We will not play Lubbock Municipal again.
Some of the grass is too tall, balls are lost in some areas.

Really protects from the wind, beautiful layout, scenerybut greens are bumpy
Great course, great layout, lots of narrow tree lined doglegs provides for a great challenge from tee to green, but greens have always been bumpy.
Great greens but the course needed better mowing maintenance
Good price for the course and fairways was good. Needs to be mowed better
Bang for your buck!
This is a great course if you are on a budget and trying to improve your game. The greens on the Canyon course are the best I have seen in a while for the course. Some of the fairways have prairie dog holes and the rough is certainly rough. All in all it is generally a pretty easy course to score on and is a great value for the savings you get from golfnow!
Good course for most standards of golfer
I like playing this course, generally relatively easy to keep the ball in play but will punish a bad shot at the wrong time. Greens usually have a good putting speed.
Requires attention bunkers are lacking maintenance a lot of ground under repair.
This was my home course, back in the day, it is a sentimental journey to play, but a heartbreaker if conditions are not favorable.
May be better after the drought
This course has been ravaged by the drought. There are no fairways, greens are infected, and it's just generally in very poor condition.
I understand that this is an effect of the drought, but the fact that there's no water in many of the ball washers, no signs directing you between holes, and no water in the igloo coolers shows a general lack of effort to make it playable.
I liked the layout of the Creeks course, so I'll try it again if the drought eases up. But I can't imagine this place, even in times of abundant moisture, to be worth any more than $28/round.
The greens looked like it had some sort of disease but course has nice features.
I played this course back in spring and it was in great shape, this time the roughs were rough and the play was real slow, but I would play it again when the greens get better, the course does have character and is challenging with the creek winding through it.
