About
After 50 years, the old 9-hole McKinney Municipal Golf Course shut down to make room for the new 18-hole championship layout now known as Oak Hollow. This new layout, designed by Maury Miller, opened in 1998, featuring rolling terrain that routes around six manmade lakes.
Miller’s design is particularly friendly from the middle tees, playing a fair 6,277 yards with several short par 3s and many average-length par 5s. The number one handicap is No. 15, a 423-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 75 north to Hwy. 380, then head east to Hwy. 5 (McDonald St.). The road veers and leads you 1 mile to the course.

Very Good Condition
I:ve played Oak Hollow over 100 times and in the past because it was convenient. But now I have to say the greens are the best they have ever been. The days of leaving a 10 ft putt 18" short are gone. Perfect speed and close to perfect conditions on the greens. That's right I said it! Fairways are average which is fine since most rounds are made or lost on the greens. Substantial work on tree trimming is appreciated! Give it a try.
Great facility, but............
well kept facility, nice greens, and a very good price. however, the course is marred by a glaring flaw. hole #8 is unplayable for beginners, Seniors, and ladies. there should be no hole on a golf course where players, other than tour professionals, have absolutely no chance for par regardless of how well they play. It's a shame, because the rest of the facility is very nice.

Fun and challenging
I've lived in north Texas for many years. This golf course is fun, no overly hard, but does have some holes that require precise shot making. A great value for the money. Great staff.

Awesome value for the cost
Oak Hollow has been my go to lately not only for the upkeep of the course, but for the value for the money. The greens and fairways are very nice given the hot summer months. My buddy and I always have a great time playing here.
Savannah the cart girl is awesome and is always Johnny on the Spot with a cold drink at the right time.

Not bad for $25
I’ve played this course 5 time, and each time it get a little bit easier. For $25 and a cart I can’t complain. Finish this day a little under 4 hours, but did have to wait a few holes. Usually it’s wide open, especially on the weekdays. Watch out for that stinking hole # 8. I’ve only pared it once, the first time I played it I lost a sleeve of balls.

Oak hallow
Pretty fun course, played it about 5 times, and finally got par on #8 and the last long par 3. For $17.99 and a cart with the golf now app you can’t beat it. Today finished a little under 4 hours.

Had a terrible experience with the starter Will. Our golf cart was broken and when we came back to report the issue, we waited to be assigned a new cart and Will stated "What do you want me to do, load your bags for you". That was completely unprofessional, uncalled for and absolutely rude. We were simply waiting to be assigned a new cart. I have since had a couple of acceptable experiences but Will's behavior completely left a negative impression on us.

Fun Local Course
Course was in good shape from recent rain, very green fairways. Greens rolled smooth, lines were straighter than they looked.
Had a lot of fun, not too busy so pace was great. I’ll be back soon.

Some holes layout weird
Some holes layout is weird. Hole 8 for example is the worst. You hit to the fairway to lose the ball to left cliff due to fast slope.

I couldn’t find fairways
Staff was okay, Greens were decent, but pretty much all the fairways were dry brown and hard. Not great conditions.

Honest overview
Course conditions -
Decent course layout but greens are in horrible condition. Not worth the price of a green fee.
Golf shop-
Called golf shop to see if there were any openings for 2 players. They said they were booked. No one teed of on the first tee for 15 minutes.
Clubhouse-
Great potential but very under utilized.

Need to teach one guy manners.
