About
After 50 years, the old 9-hole McKinney Municipal Golf Course shut down to make room for the new 18-hole championship layout now known as Oak Hollow. This new layout, designed by Maury Miller, opened in 1998, featuring rolling terrain that routes around six manmade lakes.
Miller’s design is particularly friendly from the middle tees, playing a fair 6,277 yards with several short par 3s and many average-length par 5s. The number one handicap is No. 15, a 423-yard par 4.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 75 north to Hwy. 380, then head east to Hwy. 5 (McDonald St.). The road veers and leads you 1 mile to the course.

Worse course in TEXAS!!!
I repeat don’t waste your money at this golf course, unless you’re trying to play a 6 hour round and wait 30 minutes between each hole. The staffing is terrible, the pro shop is alright, pace of play is god awful every time. The course condition is awful, and the greens are dead. Pay 20$ extra and go play somewhere else.

Just in horrible shape
The rain hasn’t helped this course at all, completely flooded this course has been struggling for a while now. Pace of play is ridiculously slow

Fun course
Came in from out of town to help son moved and found this gem close to his house. Other than being wet from rain lately, it was a pleasant round of golf. Fairways and greens were in decent shape except for a couple of tee boxes either needing cut or one needing grass. Beautiful club house and had a nice Cart girl out on course to replenish your thirst. Look forward to playing here again when back in town.

Oak Hollow
If you want to take 6hrs plus to play, then this is your course. They need to put Marshall's on the course at every other hole because no one there cares about pace of play.

Great course for the price
I’ve been playing at Oak Hollow for a year now and for the cheap price of 18 holes and a cart, it’s hard to beat! The pace is typically good and never feel rushed or judged out on the course. I’m still learning and I’m not the only one out there trying their hand at golf! I can’t say the course is in amazing condition but it’s still a nice and relaxed round of golf that keeps me coming back.

Not what it should be.
Too much money for the conditions. Greens in terrible condition, tee boxes sparse of grass and fairways like concrete.
Not to mention group in front slow and group behind hit into us 5 times.
Not going to be heading back to the weed field any time soon.

Greens Need Work
This course is great but the greens need some work! I understand all the rain and cold weather but some of these greens are like putting on dirt in spots!

It's been better
I've played this course for years, and this year's greens are possibly the worst I've seen here. I suspect the Texas freeze has something to do with it, but I've played other courses in the area with better preserved greens. Fairways were average. Both should get better, but I'd sure like a discount when play isn't optimal.
