Mesquite Golf Course
About
Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.
Other notes: Garrett Gill and George B. Williams redesigned this course.
Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Golfer Reviews
2.3 out of 5
We had 3 in our group and random fourth playing with us. They made me ride in a cart with the random guy lol. Luckily he was cool. But they wanted to charge an additional 10 dollars for my own cart. What a cheap way to get extra cash. The cart also started going out on the 12th hole. Had to walk to 18th because it died. Obviously a cart issue. Course was decent. Doesn’t tolerate rain well. Will be cart path only if it rains a drop. Greens were decent. Rolled pretty true and fast. They have cleared out a lot of brush and fairways were in ok shape.
Did not play this course booked in error
Did not play this course book in error. Called the course and they said they would notify golf now.
Good course good value
Enjoyed the round of play. There is not much to complain for the price. The people at pro shop were nice and even looked happy. Greens and fairways are pretty well maintained. There are some rough areas throughout the course but mostly outside of fairway.
Its a better course than it played today
We had major rain so it was cart path only and also more bare spots than usual. That being said, this course has a good layout and some of the fastest greens in North Texas. It's almost like it's two golf courses, one gets you to the green and then there's those greens. I'll definitely be back.
Very Nice Municipal Course
I recommend this course. It is not a long course but it is challenging. The most challenging is the pin placements; pins placed to challenge your putting. It also has a very nice dining area to kick back and relax with friends after the round.
Nice challenging course
The course is in good condition for winter. The greens roll fast and fairways in decent shape. Staff friendly and the marshal helpful for our first time playing the course. Pace of play was great, we had a new golfer in our group and took a little longer but the group behind didn’t have to wait much.
Nice Challenging Course
We were pleasantly surprised at the layout and difficulty of this course. It was very well kept (for the time of year) and pace of play was great. The Marshalls were around the entire time to make sure all were keeping proper time. It was our first time there as a group of women and the staff could not have been more nice. We will be back!!!
Great course for the price
Greens are good and the speed is right. Price is reasonable. The pro shop employees are very courteous. Fairways are not as hard as other courses. Great course for the price.
Nice place
Some long Par 3s and fast greens. Course in great shape .
