Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.

Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Get on while its good
Haven’t seen the greens on this course in conditions like they are currently, ever. Cut low, roll true and fast. Tee boxes in great shape as well. Played as a single with 1 other and a twosome on a Saturday - 4hr round.

Great Value
Course overall is in good shape. Not perfect but for the price it’s fantastic. Greens are in great shape and make a world of difference. Friendly staff and affordable range, snacks and drinks. Will definitely be playing again.
