Mesquite Golf Course
About
Mesquite’s muni, located in the Duck Creek floodplain, was built in the 1960s by Leon Howard. Playing only 6,280 yards from the tips and void of bunkers, it makes for a fun day on the links. In fact, water comes into play only seven times–not as much as you might think for a floodplain course that has been ravaged by floods over the years.
The most challenging hole, No. 13, has water. It’s a 418-yard par 4 that doglegs right and features a tee shot over a creek, followed by a long approach to a tough, narrow green.
Other notes: Garrett Gill and George B. Williams redesigned this course.
Getting there : From I-30 east, take Northwest Hwy. for .5 mile to North Hwy. 67 and the course.

Great greens indeed
Go here for the greens! Fast, sloping, true rolls, fun all around. The rest of the course is average. Easy walking course. Great for locals.
good course to play
Greens are fast & challengeable
if your shot is good on the day, its great course to play.
if not easy bogey or double bogey.
Always Love Playing this Course
This is a fun layout. Greens are challenging with speed and slope, and are in great shape.
I played right after 3 days of rain so it was cart path only. But course was still in really good shape all things considered and greens were smooth as usual.
Great, friendly service in the pro shop.
This is one of my favorite courses in the DFW area.
Hidden Gem
First of all, No, I dont work there, or know anybody there! But this course is a must-play in the DFW area. This was our first time there, and it was impressive. Its an older course, but very, very well kept. The greens were perfect. The fairways were perfect. The layout was perfect. The rough? .....just make sure you hit it in the fairway!
I talked to one proshop guy, one course marshal, and the starter during the round. These guys were way, way beyond friendly and helpful. And the hotdog/burger shop at the clubhouse is as good as you will find anywhere.
We will definitely play the course again. Tom B

Amazing course. Who’d of thought Mesquite could produce those greens! Thought Mesquite was only for week day softball leagues! Great course! Get out there ASAP!
Greens
best greens in the area.
Course in great shape and can be played less then 4 hours.
Excellent value
Great Deal For A Good Course
Mesquite is one of the best kept secrets in DFW. It's not long and it's not hard, even for the duffer. Average play will take about 3..5 hours and you should score somewhere below 90. The course is in excellent condition. Bring plenty to drink and eat with you as there is no cart girl.
Will play again
Pace of play was good. Greens and fairways in good condition.
The course is in FANTASTIC condition
The course is in FANTASTIC condition.
Tee boxes are grassy and level.
Fairways are lush and mowed to a playable height.
Greens are in tournament shape, a little faster than most.
Staff were extremely courteous and helpful.
This may be the best course in the Metroplex right now.
